Capn kamikaze Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 GR9. To be honest though the AV-8B is very similar, so would it be cheeky to ask for both?
Angelthunder Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 After looking up this thread.I think Razbam should do the RAF GR7/9 first because the AV-8B CAS one has ground radar and i think they should wait for ED's F/A-18 Hornet to bring fully functioning GR to the game. Then i would like to see Razbam create both the AV-8B & B+ in the future.
sirscorpion Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I want a gun, but i also want the GR9. can we just slap it with a gun and be done with this? And give it brimstone. If the Aircraft was tested with weapon system, or certified or qualified then I dont see why we should limit our selves with in service only options. Edited January 6, 2016 by sirscorpion
Vampyre Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) What's wrong with an AV-8B+ carrying the LITENING pod? Nice find. This photo actually answers a question I had about the ALQ-126C being carried with the gun installed. If it can carry the Litening with the gun it can carry the jammer with it installed. I haven't found any photos of the B(NA) with Litening on the centerline but I imagine it now has the capability as well. I wonder when this configuration was approved for use as, up until this point, I have not noticed this configuration before? It must be fairly recent, within the last five or six years, because the Harriers have the new dark grey paint scheme that I first remember seeing in 2009. Vampyre Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 If F-18C releases before the Harrier then we can declare that to be the first Marine aircraft (fixed wing). I have a feeling the first Marine fixed wing will be the F4U-1D.:music_whistling: Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills. FoxHoundELite Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 AV-8B because it's still on service with USMC,not retired like Gr9 Feel the Rush of Superior Air Power [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mattebubben Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 AV-8B because it's still on service with USMC,not retired like Gr9 and its also still in service with Italy and Spain. So its in service with 3 different nations.
LevelPulse Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 AV-8B because it's still on service with USMC,not retired like Gr9 Well if we got the GR9 then it would be more historically accurate since more files are declassified, i rather have a more accurate jet then one which is based on guessing on half classified files. mattebubben Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 well are you sure more files are declassified. Id did enter service later. with the GR.9 not entering service untill 2006-2007. Thats later then any of the AV-8B variants. And just because its no longer in service does not mean the systems /tech is no longer classified.
Orr89 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 My vote depends on RAZBAM's answer to the question: what manuals do you have for GR7/GR9? [ame]http://www.razbamsims.com/downloads/Docs/RAZBAM%20Harrier%20GR.7-GR.9%20Aircraft%20Manual.pdf[/ame] I also voted for the GR7&9 its just more the iconic Harrier, who cares about a gun, fly the A-10...

Yo Vampyre...you forgot to mention, or maybe even notice the deadliest discriminating weapon that sorts the AV-8B to the top. Take a look back at the AV-8B pics; it's there mounted center-line on top of the fuselage just forward of the engine intakes. [sIGPIC]http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn266/JINX1391/jinx%20f99th%20sig_zps2hgu4xsl.png[/sIGPIC] "90% of the people who actually got to fly the F/A-18C module there (E3 2017) have never even heard of DCS or are otherwise totally undeserving pieces of trash." -Pyromanic4002
CallsignFrosty Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 GR9 is winning and there are less British people here than yankie doodles so that should be a sign
Fox One Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 @Orr89 :D No, I was asking what manuals they have for the real aircraft to be able to make an accurate&complete simulation. I'm still waiting for RAZBAM to answer the question... What you see in RAZBAM's FS sim manual is like 5% of the functionality of the real jet. Or less... My DCS videos
KesMonkey Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 AV-8B because it's still on service with USMC,not retired like Gr9 If you don't mind me asking, why does that make a difference to you? Do you not buy modules for aircraft that are no longer in service? Does an aircraft no longer being in service make it less fun/rewarding/enjoyable to fly?
LevelPulse Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 If you Americans try and ruin this vote by going for the AV-8B, imma make multiple accounts just to vote :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Director | Team Coordinator ME-163B Project The DCS Modding Hub Discord PC Specs: Intel I7 8700k 4.7Ghz Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming Z370 Motherboard 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz Ram 500GB Samsung Evo 850 SSD
