The default script requires at least 20 hits to register as effective ... edit lines 21 and 28 to lower this limit.

Hhhmm, now I'm not getting any bomb impact feedback from the Conventional Circle A. I named it "conventional1" and put the trigger zone "target1" over it out to 656 feet radius, minalt 500m. I noticed a post way back had the same issue but it was never really answered.

 

Any ideas?

I lowered the min alt to 200 meters (about 600 feet) and worked ok for me:

Menu display time

 

Hi.

This is a really awesome script (as others from Ciribob). Thank you for the great work.

 

I'm a noob in scripting, so sorry for the silly question.

It is possible to increase the time the results are displayed in the menu?

Look for lines like

 

displayMessageToGroup and the number in it (usually 10) is the time in seconds to display the message for.

 

Just increase that

Sorry if I.m asking too much...

But would it be possible to have a SHACK! Direct hit" message if we hit target in a 3 or 4 meter distance from center?

Or even better, if it activates also a trigger (for example) or a sound file to activate a voice message in ME ?

I try to do it with a small triggerzone inside the Target circle, and use the Bomb in zone condition, but it has 2 problems:

 

1- The bomb has to "travel for 1 second inside the trigger

2- It has also the condition for the type of bomb.

 

What i'm doing is a OCU training mission for my squad Raf Air UK (97Th) where I use Ciribob GREAT script and 467th GREAT target range mod.

I have several messages and briefings to know what is required from new pilots. So the SHACK sound trom the target range crew, would be a cherry on top of the cake :D

Hi Ciribob,I have been using this fantastic script in SP for a long time and now I include it in my Squadron dedicated server in the nevada scenario, but from time to time this error appears and blocks the server until it is accepted, so continue working without problems (error in attached image).

 

Any idea what the reason is?, I am very confused about the cause of this.

 

I use the Mist version 4.4.85

I am below the assigned altitude.

 

For bombs and rockets, you must use a trigger zones named 'target1'. You can add up to 'target9' IIRC.

 

Place some static object in the center of each target zone for aiming purposes -- something from '476 Range Targets' like 'Conventional Circle A' works perfectly.

 

Don't place the target trigger zone inside a strafe pit area. Keep them separate -- different weapons, different ranges.

Gave it a try and it crashes with a script error after rolling in.

 

Have the .miz

The 476v

Listest mist

And the rangescriot.lua

 

So I am not sure what is wrong.

Anything stand out in the log file?

Also, if you added any airframes to the mission make sure you "reload" the script in ME by pointing to it with the "DO SCRIPT". Cuurrently you have to first join an observer slot for a few seconds before spawning in a plane for the scripts to take effect

I have a mission on the Normandy map I've used for years to do gunnery, bomb, and rocket practice. It is now no longer working.

 

I get the messages when the MIST and rangescript lua files are loaded, but when I fly into the strafe zone, no message greets me, and when I hit the strafe target, only damage is reported.

I had similar issue but just focusing on bombing. Editing the rangescript.lua to give lower bombng min altitude solved it for me;

 

line 34:  range.bombingMinAlt = 600

 

Previously it was set at 1800

have the same issues since a few days...script is working for the strafe targets but as of nowhere bombing is  no longer working. changed the boming altitudes as well but no help so far....any other ideas ?
