kintaro
Hi, I'm currently running version 1.5.2.49392. I'm not sure which version introduced this (somewhere after 1.5), but I'm experiencing erratic pilot head movement to a level that it is very annoying. Whenever the helicopter is entering translational lift, the pilots head looks almost to his feet and a few seconds have to pass until it returns to the normal view. I know that there is a lot of vibration is experienced when entering/leaving TL, but I never experienced my head tossed around during it (real life mi-8 pilot here). Can you please return to the previous (pre 1.5) head movement model? (Or at least make it switchable) It is especially annoying during rolling takeoffs. A friend running the same version confirmed, that it is not an isolated problem on my part. Thank you! I never notice any violent movement when entering translational lift Yeah, That's it. It is a useless feature wich can be anoying, especially if you use track IR. I turned it off immediatly. Devrim
Interesting. It's enabled for me, but it doesn't affect too much (or none) in other modules. I didn't think it's that option. I'll disable it, thanks anyway! Aaaand, guys; I don't want to hijack this thread but, you as Mi-8 pilots, experience this problem? If yes, please add post there. :) Intel i7-14700@5.6GHz | MSI RTX4080 Super SuprimX | Corsair V. 32GB@6400MHz. | Samsung 1TB 990 PRO SSD (Win10Homex64) Samsung G5 32" + Samsung 18" + 2x8"TFT Displays | Saitek X-55 Rhino & Rudder | TM MFD Cougars | Logitech G13, G230, G510, PZ55 & Farming Sim Panel | TIR5 >>MY MODS<< | Discord: Devrim#1068
kintaro
Fixed with 1.5.3.!!! Thank you! (had nothing to do with the "G force moves head" check box, checked or unchecked produced the same abnormal movement in 1.5.2, but now with 1.5.3, its gone!) Nealius
I'm still getting it with 1.5.3 for some reason.
CoBlue
I'm also getting it in 1.5.3? I think it's connected to collective movements, not just in transitional lift. But it's most notable during transitional lift. I didn't have this erratic head movement before. I always had "G force moves head" unchecked. CoBlue
After more testing, the head-shaking is connected to transitional lift. It's very annoying! I've reinstalled the Mi-8, but no joy. Can someone from BT look at this & give advise on what to do? i7 8700k@4.7, 1080ti, DDR4 32GB, 2x SSD , HD 2TB, W10, ASUS 27", TrackIr5, TMWH, X-56, GProR. 1.JaVA_Platypus
D@mn it... for us who doesn't have this problem, it is very hard to imagine what exactly is wrong. Can someone make a video of it? Not a track, that probably won't work on my machine, a video on YouTube. Happy Flying! :pilotfly:

Nichts
Any news on this? I tried to delete users data and messed around in views.lua without success. Mi-8 used to be my favourite module but now there’s no more fun flying it :( please note: english isn’t my first language, I‘m still learning. Please feel free to contact me when you think something I wrote is not clear, simply wrong or just should be corrected – thx

Pajama Pilot
I can confirm that too. Very unnatural and exagerated head movement. An unpleasent effect at this flight stage that almost ruins the simulation. TAnker737
It seems to take effect when the Mi-8 starts transition from translational lift to a hover and vice versa. CoBlue
At what time stamps in the video can one see the effect? For me it looks normal... It's every 1-2 sec, clearly visible....normal? maybe you've been flying with this "shaking" the whole time & think it's supposed to be like that. But I can assure you it's not normal. Compare with other Mi-8 videos. I've got the Erratic head movement in 2.0 as well. It's been 3 months now since I reported this! Belsimtek you customer service & support is totally non-existent  I hope you realize how bad this is for your business & the goodwill of your company. i7 8700k@4.7, 1080ti, DDR4 32GB, 2x SSD , HD 2TB, W10, ASUS 27", TrackIr5, TMWH, X-56, GProR. kazereal
Or that work required would be enormous for a minor visual glitch. Or that it needs work that would be obsolete at one point. Or there are more immediate concerns to solve for any reason. There are numerous reasons why a bug is not reacted to, often simply it is about prioritizing developer time. Just because you have it as a pet does not mean everyone cares about it same way, end-users don't see the ton of things happening "behind the scenes", so to speak. Slazi
Has it even been confirmed as a bug? I thought this was by design. Isn't it just the shaking of the airframe?
AlphaOneSix
The airframe shaking is by design. I think the issue being referred to is that the head position "jumps" every now and then during the shaking.
CoBlue
It's not by design. Cockpit shaking & "erratic head movement" are 2 different things, see the video on the link above. I didn't have "erratic head movement" before, it started 4-5 months ago. Or that work required would be enormous for a minor visual glitch. It's not a "minor visual glitch" having the whole Screen jumping every 2-3 sec makes it totally un-flyable for me.
