Nero.ger Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 (edited) finaly i can navigate the l39 without constantly clicking around F10-map :) thx one question: is there a "clear" map available without the beacons, so one can print it out and write on it? edit: i mean one without the Big info boxes Edited March 21, 2017 by Nero.ger 'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.
Lino_Germany Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 finaly i can navigate the l39 without constantly clicking around F10-map :) thx one question: is there a "clear" map available without the beacons, so one can print it out and write on it? edit: i mean one without the Big info boxes This is an HD map. Printing it out in common means is not advisable because you can not see any detail. Apart from that it should be possible to erase every element of the map with relatively little effort. Cody Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Hi Lino, another very little improvement: Kutaisi Inner Mark Beacon 477 kHz, reported as "- .. --." = TIG, in game is heard as "- .." = TI
Lino_Germany Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 I´ll fix that. Thanks for mentioning. Kind regards, Lino_Germany

Lino_Germany Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 I´ve implemented the AWLS channels into the beacon map. All AV-8B pilots will benefit from it. beelzebup Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I noticed a changed in RSBN/PRMG station with 2.5 cacasus.. However I haven't seen any changelog or notice of this. I fact, only 4 airports remain with RSBN stations, and the PRMG station is now offset from the RSBN. For help I extracted from beacons.yml: Mozdok rsbn:20 prmg:22 Krymsk rsbn:28 prmg:26 Maykop rsbn:34 prmg:36 Krasnodar-C rsbn:40 prgm:38 I hope this helps with updating, certainly make navigating russian aircraft rely more on ARC/Beacon radio.
Lino_Germany Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 Thanks for that information. I´ll take that into account for the next update. Kind regards, Lino_Germany

This is the case for l-39, However it seems the "old" rsbn stations are still active for the Mig 21  These are the only two rsbn capable aircraft I have, but this needs a little looking in to..
msalama Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I think the MiG-21 package has its own navaid system that has nothing to do with ED. Correct me if I'm wrong though. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
beelzebup Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I think the MiG-21 package has its own navaid system that has nothing to do with ED. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I looked deeper into it, and you are sadly not wrong. And even worse , after figuring this out, I see Lino has already implemented the 4 map-based RSBN beacons (small box on the airfields) and PRMG (as blue hex icons), and the yellow hexed nurmber are Mig21bis only rsbn stations. I suppose you should disregard my messages entirely, if only the description in the map legend could be improved to note on which planes the different RSBN codes apply. This would be Mig21 for the yellow hex, which denotes RSBN and PRMG. And for l-39c/za (others ? ) use the map beacons which has seperate notation for RSBN and PRMG.

muamshai Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Your beacon docs are certainly quite helpful. Open them in other doc and set the frequences/channels accordingly. Do you have plans to update or complete the docs for all other available maps? This space is available for your advertisement
Lino_Germany Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 Since all the relevant information can now be found in the ingame F10-map, I see no reason to update the documents. Kind regards, Lino_Germany

MaxVB Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Great job. Congratulations. It is great to plan navigation without opening DCS.
