Won the lotto or something??

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

In that event, it still depends on whether you are going to just ride in it, or pilot it. From either perspective, I have read that a G550 is quite nice!

What an open ended question...

Travel and sight see with your entourage. That's what they are for.

Just for flying and personal satisfaction if your not taking a group, you could just get an Albatross.

Best of both worlds. :pilotfly:

The "very light jet" (jets with a maximum take off weight of 10000lbs) class is best for personal use because you can fly it alone. All bigger private jets need a co pilot.

Sat in the cockpit of a Cessna Citation for most of a trip from NC to Chicago. I recall it had bout 12 seats. Nice little Jet. Maybe a CJ3.

I'm going to assume he means which 3rd party developer jet is the best one to buy and why?

The question needs to be addressed in a couple of ways. First, the most complex, and accurate module, is in my opinion the MiG-21 Bis from Leatherneck. The artwork inside the cockpit was painted by Rembrandt, and the systems modelling is as good as it gets in any sim available. The F-86F Sabre or Mig-15 Bis are also excellent modules, and the choice of which to buy is really down to personal preference.

The other modules currently available from 3rd parties, such as the M2000C, Hawk and C101 are all work in progress, and need more time to reach the same level of completion as the Migs and Sabre.

I'm sure if he'd wanted to buy a private jet, he'd have asked someone more knowledgeable than us bunch of amateurs!

Pilatus PC-12. It has the range, speed, and capacity very close to a King Air, is single pilot IFR rated, and can go as slow as a Cessna on final. Plus it can land on almost any surface. Some pilots I know that fly it call it The Fisher Price My First Turboprop because it is so simple to operate.

Also if you got around $60 million burning a hole in your pocket...try the G650. It's a dream to fly up front, and I am sure not too shabby in the back either. 17 hours you can be anywhere in the world.

Agreed, Gulfstream is the way to go.

I once flew across the Bermuda Triangle as private transit from Eleuthera/Bahamas to Miami, with my wife for honeymoon in a 2-prop Piper Cherokee ( think it was ). I flew a lot in my life, but that was the nicest trip I ever made.

Having a snack, chat with your wife on honeymoon and listen to the Pilot saying " Look down this is the Island Hemingway used to fish and spend time.." sort of thing.

One of the few nice things money can pay for, the rest is priceless, wife and family 1st ;)

I'd have to go with Inchon on this one. The PC-12 is just perfect for hauling the family or a bunch of friends around plus it will take a hell of a lot of cargo if you're into carrying your toys around with you. It's fast and looks like it would be a hoot to fly!
