Good question, I want to know how future proof the amd cards are. For example with my 1080ti I could still get a very decent experience in DCS, x plane 11 or MSFS with asw, or locked 30hz. Sure there where some artifacts but it worked oke. Now I have a way beefier gpu you would expect it would run smoother with ASW on or locked 30hz because it can easily keep 45 fps for example...But it's unplayable with asw on. Without asw it's smooth tho....maybe my cpu 3950x issues? Edited February 4, 2021 by Wakkaman

As an example using Rift, if you're not able to maintain 90fps, ASW when enabled will reduce your fps to 45 while still giving you a smooth experience by interpolation. Are you already getting the max fps from your VR HMD with your 6900XT? Also there are several ASW options...RCTR + 1, 2, 3, or [4 which is auto] Edited February 4, 2021 by fitness88 1

If I use my 6900xt and lock 30hz it's not smooth at all, weird because my fps is around 45/50 in MSFS. I will try again in dcs tomorrow and see how smooth 30hz is for example. And will check what my average max fps is...

I don't know why, did change some settings in my amd software....My max fps is a constant 80 and with asw on it's a constant 40 fps, it's perfectly smooth now. Chally850 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Anyone has problem with Oculus Rift S going black after some playtime in DCS ? The sound is still going and it is still Ok on my desktop screen, just no more video in the headset. I have to close and restart DCS when this happen. I have no problem at all running MSFS. Running in default VR settings in DCS. Running on AMD Ryzen 5 3600 32Gig RAM and GE Force RTX 3060Ti 8gig. Any special video settings on the graphic card itself ? It is annoying to fly then it start jerking the vision and just go black.

Delete fxo and try updating video card drivers, try enabling hardware accelerated GPU or if enabled, try disabling, enable Game Mode.

Could you share your ingame and Oculus Tray Tool settings? I think I'm having the same issue. With ASW on automatic, Im getting weird hitching when flying close to the ground. vortexringstate Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I have a RIFT and a 1080ti and have just followed some Optimising advice (tweaked NVIDIA, DCS settings, but didnt go near shaders). Im now getting much better Performance in VR. Before I was max 45fps and below with a noticible stutter at times. Now it seems to be locked solid on 45fps and pretty smooth and occasionally flips to @90fps. Can someone please explain what this flip/flop 45/90 is about and is it a sign I can do better...? Im not too familiar with GFX stuff so please use kiddie gloves On 2/5/2021 at 10:57 AM, fitness88 said: As an example using Rift, if you're not able to maintain 90fps, ASW when enabled will reduce your fps to 45 while still giving you a smooth experience by interpolation. Im getting my fps pegged solid on 45 and the ocasional flip to 90 or so. Its quite smooth, in fact best I have had but can I tweak to get more... Whats this about? Topo Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Not an expert, but for what i know: Your Rift work at 90 or 45 fps. If your system can achieve 90 fps, no problem, If your system don't reach 45 or 90 fps, the ASW (asincronous something... ) "interpolate" the missing frames to 45 or 90 fps. If your sim is smooth at 45 fps, probably your system is capable to reach and mantain 45 fps but not 90 (or only in some cases), and probably most of the time your fps are inbetwen 45 to 90. Sorry for my english and for the confusion...

Wolf359 Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Question: Is anyone else having an issue with dual throttle positioning in the hornet? I noticed that the right engine throttle keeps positioning slightly ahead of the left - when I have bock locked together on the warthog. And it affects flight, drifting to the left until I unlock the two and adjust until they're even in the cockpit.
