concerning the actual situaition, 37 reds against 8 blues, we should think of a limit for each side. We today had a full server with red outnumbering blues with 4:1 and leaving blue no chance to bring more pilots in.

So maybe there should only be 26 pilots be allowed per side, or 30, when 30 against 22 is not that unfair.

I'm sorta on the fence about supporting a team limit or not, personally, I don't care...

I do think, however that we shouldn't start rounds -hours- after the last one ends...I feel that a lot of Bluefor probably burned out on Round 6 and needed a break...

No we normally don't start immidiately. This time we did so as the previous round ender sooner than we expected. We want to work on the backround so instead of keeping the server down we started the 7th.

Round 7 over in 3...2....

Edit: server crash saves batumi! There is hope yet for blue if they can get the numbers in. Hopefully we'll still be flying Round 7 tomorrow:)

Nah I don't think team limits are a good thing, you just restrict people who want to fly. I'm okay with swimming against the current occasionally.

You nailed it, buddy. I logged quite the flight hours and GCI time for round six but with round 7 coming up a few hours after round 6 closure was too early. But I can hear RED saying "No slammers, no players." xD

Still waiting for the player stats for round 6 though... Xcom, Greg?

An idea: Don't start Round 8 this week.

How to get there:

BLUEFOR, WAKE THE (insert fun words here) UP!

Just play when Blue has the majority advantage. ;^)

I don't see a problem.

Seriously, though, if a team/balance limit is to be instituted, I'd support it, just so long as it's within a margin of +/- 10 players or so as people have suggested in the past. That's still enough players for the side with an advantage to have a huge advantage, but not such that the server gets full and no one else can join to even it out.

This happened 4 times in the hour leading up to red attempts to take it all. Unfortunately a lot of blue players lost lives cause of the server crashes and left.

Can't believe red didn't take it still after the crash though.

+1. There are hundreds of posts on slammers or balancing the "stuff" but all of the effort for giving equal "features" for both sides just doesn't matter if the player proportions on the server are 4 to 1. There should be some margin, 10%, 20%, even a 50% would be bearable and could introduce some diversity into the play but flying vs. horde of enemies just ruins all of the balancing.

PS: Great job BLUE team defending the Tbilisi yesterday eveninng - it was just a blast seeing so many choppers operating at once. Also credits for pilots that got the west bases back

Yesterday was the "BLACK TUESDAY" for the BLUE team. I felt like Korean War when Reds went until the perimeter of Pusan. Locked and fighting for survival and holding Tiblisi. After continuous waves from Reds. Blue Team managed to hold.

Who knows now the outcome of the situation.....

Tried to play the other day on the blue side as Mirage and I was killed three times while I was starting up from ramp so I decided to give up. I know it's allowed in the rules but it's certainly frustrating so I gave up.
This might have been frustrating but a simple solution was just to take-off from other airfield. For Mirage it takes a moment to fly from Tbilisi to Kutaisi - it's not like with a chopper where flying to MM02 FARP which is in the middle of the distance takes 30 minutes.

I can't imagine a rule to not attack aircrafts at the airports/FARPS as it's normal that they're the priority targets.

it was the first time in BlueFlag where i went out of chopper and Planelives.

was it worth it in 10 vs 2.....idk, but red team better never again complain about beeing outnumbered.:P

on that topic, i am realy interrested in an statistic which shows the amount if people that are on TS vs People inGame per side at a given time. i think that would paint in interresting picture

'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

Will be nice to get statistic for round 7 in terms of battle movement, visitors by red\blue side during the day. Lives used per pilot act.

AF balance - can we add Mig 29 A\G to each side for each AF (not all of us having Migarage).

Message for refuling tanker to take off needs to be erlier by 15 minutes, that players can react respectivly.

Ahh, yesterday was pretty fun to be honest, being outmatched can be exciting :).. Me and another guy was in F-15C's against a shitnomi tidalwave of red players on our last airfield in the west (Batumi). Sweeper rage quit after getting killed once, the rest seemed to be busy at Tiblisi. We tried to hold them back at Batumi but it didn't really work out too well..

There was a dude in the GCI slot helping me out, unfortunately I can't remember his name but thank you mate!

We made the experience that tiblisi is easy to defend...they had a lot of SAMs there and build them up faster as we could destroy them....as long as blue manages to get enough choppers in the air, you should survive long enough to loose by points^^
