Greg, why is Batumi not listed in the red team slots?! Oh and why is it not possible to save radars, SAMs etc?

Also please remove the long refuelling process on Su-27 (shorten it or just 100% fuel). Taking off with popped tires and flying with left-right shaking-bugged autopilot is hard enough, plus all the way from Mozdok down to Tbilisi (150 km) takes far too long...

Greg, XCom,

Well done on this round, the server seems much more stable with fewer crashes and lag.

One issue I would like to report is the spawning in at FARPs. Often helicopters spawn in on top of each other and at the BE-TL FARP sometimes my spawn point keeps moving back until the point where I fall off of the slope and if I then try to respawn I sometimes get blocked by the new script.

Also a request - is it possible to add deployable artillery and MLRS to the CTLD script? These units could require 3-4 crates to deploy and once deployed in the field, although non-moveable, they can controlled by Forward Observers with CA (I assume forward controllers cannot see enemy locations on F10 map). This would mean that grid references for fire missions would have to found and passed by the gazelles and KA-50s and the other team will have a lot of fun trying to locate and destroy these units.

Keep up the great work!

It's 30% more than the F-15 gets.

If you want to take off in 3 minutes take Mirage or Mig21

The fuel status was not an accident , it was put in place to give some delay to FC3 Fighters otherwise players could just respawn and be airborne in less than a minute (very realistic indeed... )

If I'm not mistaken, the F-15 can just take 3 fuel bags and fill itself up using those then call for the loadout they actually want, right?

Otherwise, I'm fine with the fuel-up time on FC3 planes, the only thing that needs to go regarding that isn't really in Buddy Spike's control.

The sound effect for refueling really is worse than nails on a chalkboard though, I basically turn my volume down to almost nill if I know I'm going to have to fuel one up.

You are mistaken. The Eagle can only draw fuel from external tanks when the gear is up, so you are forced to fill the internal tanks to some degree before you can start your engines. The standard Blue method is ~30% internal + 3 bags, which gives about 16,000lb of fuel in total.

As for the refuelling sounds, Sweeper has an excellent mod for that.

Thanks for the feedback.

About the Heli's at the FARP, It's a known issue and I believe a bug that's been reported to ED already.

About deployable artillery, that's a nice idea, we will look into it and if possible, will try to include in the next rounds.

I have an idea for balancing the player numbers. How about instead of player limits on the server, dynamically manage the life number per player in a way that the players from team being in a disadvantage as for population proportion get more lives while the lives for pilots on the enemy team are reduced.

For example, the default number of lives for plane pilots is 4. If the proportions on the server population are 2-1 the team with less pilots gets more lives - for instance 6 while number of lives for team with more pilots is reduced to 3. In extreme situations of server population disproportion like 4-1 the setup could go even further on and the lives numbers could be split 2 to 8.

With such setup there are much less issues than with the player limits - for instance what to do if there are only a few people on one side. If all of the player lives are used and provided that people are fair and logout the issue with one team locking the server would solve itself naturally.

The other aspect is that such system would ease the frustration on the overwhelmed team while making it more exciting for the more numerous team (in reality it's not a fun to play the objectives without a challenge).

F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all

It isn't a bad idea.

You could just something like an amount of life per day for the whole side, not just single pilot.

Or plane count / airfield.

Or life / airfield.

I think that's a far worse idea; all it would take is a couple of trolls to kill themselves over and over to cripple a team.

Isn't the 27 ALREADY shortened?

It´s not shortened...the F-15 has a lower internal fuel capacity then the SU-27 and thus the amounts were chosen so that both would take roughly the same time to get to full 100% internal.

But the F-15 has bags to make up for the difference.

I would settle for 2 live in general no splits between transport and fighters. Just 2 lives every 3 hours. That way we get rid of the big mouth chat and things get a little bit more complicated for all.

Switch spawn sides between red and blue for a breather or add more FARPS, its getting old already.

which will mean that you have to "beg" people to fly Transport Helos again, which means no captures, less dynamic, people getting bored

'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

But isn't the Mirage very complicated? (I bought it but so far didn't try to take of... Don't know how IFF, Radar, RWR ... works)

I think there is to much crashing and doublespawning in same aircraft slot to begin talking about changing the lives system on a public event svr. But maybe it is time to set up a private BlueFlag server for only trusted pilots and their squadrons of BS team to test new/improved features. I think that given the state of DCS we got the best campaign we can get :)

Only a password protected server could improve things as I see it.. Also two servers are better than one :)

if you fly F-15C:

RWR is just one switch to turn on , then its the same as F-15C

RADAR is basicly the same as the F-15C , some minor differences as its a different plane but really simple to use generally.

IFF is also one switch to turn on system , and then if you want to see if the contact is friendly you push another button on the stick and it shows you on the radar screen and on the hud.

learning the M2C is really easy in full fidelity module terms, it a simple airplane on the one hand and much more modern than the mig21 on the other.

I think its getting already boring enough. This round is stalled under the current conditions. The chopper problem is game related but also player related. Most chopper pilots get bored of flying for 40min to an uncertain death. the hole transport role needs re-thinking to keep those players motivated or you will end up with an airquake scenario with a twist.

Most people complain about this chopper pilot scarse usually dont own/fly choppers. I do transport most of the time, so I cant relate with this capture begging for pilot thing and dont see this as an issue.

yea i do transport 99% of the time, unless i meet a jucy red Helo :)

but on the serious side, blue team WILL suffer from this because...of a certain lack of coordination (regarding fewer people on teamspeak in relation to IG playercount)

I've flown transport choppers many times, it was fun in the start but it's getting boring and repetitive. To bad we don't have any dedicated aircrafts for transportation in DCS. Something like a C-130 would be very fun to fly on this server.

When I fly choppers now It's usually the KA-50.

A C-130 would be a great addition. Could you have it so that you could land at an airport, spawn a C-130 via F10 and then escort it?

Without the fuel transport this blueflag is getting really stale. Just a war of attrition, I have to agree with M460 ... it is getting old.
