jjohnson241 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 The update is a "standalone" version with all necessary texture zips included. You can wether remove the old version or just overwrite it in your JSGME folder. Best, SW The folder name of the Mod differs, that's the reason I asked. Thanks. CoBlue Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Ground vehicles are impossible to spot visually (compered to stock textures) on open fields, grass etc. Even if I know where they are, I can't see them, until it's to late to aim & shoot. I don't see any dirt rotor-wash from helis when landing on terrain. Anybody else having those problems? i7 8700k@4.7, 1080ti, DDR4 32GB, 2x SSD , HD 2TB, W10, ASUS 27", TrackIr5, TMWH, X-56, GProR.
Coxy_99 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Really liking the detail on the runway and taxi-way great job

I don't see any dirt rotor-wash from helis when landing on terrain. Anybody else having those problems? Some vehicles are harder to detect in this great mod indeed... trying to play with the gain or contrast (in A10 TGP) produces allot of "noise" from the ground which worsens the problem. (didn't notice the rotor wash). Callsign SETUP

I don't see any dirt rotor-wash from helis when landing on terrain. Anybody else having those problems? Well it is a bit tougher now due to more details on the ground, but it is not impossible. I would rather say more like it would be in real life. If it is too difficult for you to spot, there is an option in the menue where you can adjust the size of the units. bouncerj21 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Just installed the latest update by removing the original with JSGME and then adding the newer version. Got this texture error in the Gazelle weapons training mission help ?
Starway Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Just installed the latest update by removing the original with JSGME and then adding the newer version. Got this texture error in the Gazelle weapons training mission help ? Looks like missing textures on the FARP object which is weird because they are untouched by this DLC. Did you had it before the latest update too? Any other mods installed? Best, SW System: Intel Core i5 3570K | GTX 980 OC | 16 GB DDR3 1600 | 500 GB SSD
bouncerj21 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi didn't check them with version 1 but they where there before. I removed all mods and did a repair install on DCS before installing your texture pack as I wanted everything fresh. The other mods I have enabled are below. No terrain mods
Starway Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 So the missing textures also appears with no mods installed? Or does it only appear with the Caucasus DLC installed (and no other mods)? Can you open this mission with the mission editor and tell me which object it is? Thanks, SW System: Intel Core i5 3570K | GTX 980 OC | 16 GB DDR3 1600 | 500 GB SSD
Barbajet Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 I remember this textures mod more than 5 years ago ,
Barbajet Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 I like the old Russian rough concrete.. that would be great to redo on this DLC..
Gizzy Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Can you be a bit more specific? What is the difference? The folders should be identical. Best, SW When you unzip the top level folder name is different. Drill down and Config & Mods are there... This maybe what is causing confusion.... i.e. here are the 2 folder structures above Config & Mods... update: Starways Black Sea map_Update.1.1\__MACOSX\Starways Black Sea map original: Caucasus Map DLC by Starway Hope this helps....
bouncerj21 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Starway I am just reinstalling DCS fresh as it is still missing with no mods installed. Will let you know if it is still there with a fresh install.
bouncerj21 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi Starway Quick update fresh install and then enabling your textures worked fine. Must of been something left over from previous mods Thanks

The folder named "Caucasus Map DLC by Starway" 1/ take the new folder "Starways Black Sea map" put to JSGME mods, 2/take conten of folder __MACOSX and overwite the new folder ""Starways Black Sea map"" 3/ activate the mod Is it correct?
