MikeMikeJuliet Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 This is MOST probably my own incompetence but it seems the VR zoom is not working... Just to be sure though, would someone clarify how it's supposed to work? Is it supposed to do something the moment I press the button, or am I missing something here? I'm using the HTC Vive Regards, MikeMikeJuliet DCS Finland | SF squadron
SkateZilla Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I think it's currently only for the Rift. popov Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 (edited) try this : go in the option icon, controls on the left side, in the drop down General selector , select UI Layer found at the bottom of the list. then at the bottom of those keys function you get : "toggle VR zoom" here you go! apparently now for vr the regular feature of the zoom that we were use to is different now. probably because of vr different behaviors. :) Edited July 18, 2016 by popov PopovQc (425 ETACv Alouettes) Montreal, Québec, Canada Je parle français et anglais - I speak French & English. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- i7-4820K CPU @ 3.70GHz (8 cpu), Motherboard : ASUS Sabertooth X79, 16GigRam, DX11, Win10, GeForce RTX2070 8GB & Oculus Rift S & HP Reverb :P

SinusoidDelta Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I have to re-bond zoom every flight with the rift. Occasionally it stops working mid-flight and I have to re-bind. Same with the set center position UI control.
wolle Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I think we could use a higher zoom level. Why did ED not implement it as for regular 2D screens, where you can assign an axis to the zoom level? atm it is only on/off, and the zoom level is barely x2, if that, right? AMEDooley Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Everyone is different but I don't use zoom ever. I find it to be unrealistic. But to each there own. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

dburne Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Can I not bind the VR zoom to an axis? No. I have it assigned to two buttons on my Warthog throttle. One is a press and hold for VR zoom. The other a toggle switch, one flip for VR Zoom , another flip for Normal view.
