Is the Reputation system bugged?

Ah, the light green boxes are more numerous than before. I've never been 100% sure what they indicate but you are right, something has changed.

I spoke to Skate, and he said the forum is being updated and a few components of the forum were shut down, so maybe these extra bright greens are momentary.

1 dark green bar for every 500 points, max 5 dark green bars,

bright green bar take 1000 points

 

Maximum 15 bars.

That doesn't make sense with what we are seeing.

 

I have sixteen bars atm and the rest doesn't add up either.

Max 15 bright green bars I believe, and its based off your rep level, in your case you are at 18967. Your rep power is different.

It's like exchanging money... before the system changed you had way too much coins, now you have the big bills! :D

Whatever his current rep power is (that is what is shown by the green bar next to the post). In your case 21, in mine 101.

it's more like putting most of your gold items away instead of for show...you still have them, they're just not there in the same amount for everyone to see.

No, you get as many points as the rep power of the person who repped you (not your own rep power)!

And, by the way, this hasn't changed and was this way before the forums update. :)

I have 655 points and 1 green square, so I assume another 345 points are required to get another green.

 

But where does the actual reputation power number (7) come from?

 

It would be useful if an explanation would accompany updates, or maybe a sticky to explain rep power to everybody.

300 rep points = 1 point of rep power

500 posts = 1 point of rep power

1 year of membership on the forum = 1 point of rep power

How much rep do I have to spread around to be able to increase your already massive point total by 7 points and how is it decided?
