I tried “OH-58D” and it doesn’t work. I noticed in the simshaker.lua file that the Apache is AH-64-BLACK-II or something that *isn’t* the “top level” DCS mod ID. That’s why I asked if it’s something different.

I'd imagine there will be a profile for the OH-58 rather than having to modify like the UH-60. Black Hawk is a mod... Kiowa is an purchased modULE lol

However I too feel the empty feeling of...not feeling the bird when flying now. I had no luck with even generic helicopter checked in the SSA menu.

When the F-4E came out, the tool provided some output until SSA was fully updated.

What do you mean by that? No shaking happens from DCS only via testing through sound module.

The current Sound Module will not use them, but I think I could change it in the next version.
I can add those files as place holders and you guys will be able to play around with this stuff.

That would be great.  To make sure I understand this file...   It would be a rotor whirl sound when the collective is pulled up or down causing significant Gs?  Or just a transition sound between the low and High sounds?  Or maybe I'm saying the same thing twice?  LoL

I have the mod mentioned, I am clearly not savvy enough to figure it out. I tried it on the OH-6 and the OH-58 and I can't get it to work, my Huey and Black Hawk work like a dream. 

I will be patient until it's implemented, I'm not savvy enough at this point.

FYI my problem was due to missing license after I did some email change. Thanks for your help though 🙂

Anyone get the OH-6 mod to work with SSA? If so, how? I also don't want to lose my UH-60 if it's just swapping the models in the lua.

Agree, the lack of Jetseat in the OH-58D really makes you feel that you are in a super smooth alien machine and not a cranky, pulsating, vibrating machine called a Helicopter.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

@KeyserSoze62Yes, it uses the Mi-8 not the SU-27, its pretty much fully adjustable as a helo. UH-60 feels great once setup. The first rotation of the rotors on startup....MAN it thumps every time.

So do I copy the UH-1H section and add a new section or does this change replace the UH-1H?  I fly both regularly so that would be a pain.

Just modify the one location, , no need to copy and add a new section, it doesn't effect the Huey. 

HOWEVER* I suggest making a duplicate folder prior to trying in the event it's messed up. It took me several tries to understand, it's more simple than it appears. Literally just adding UH-60L.

I got it to work using that tool, both OH-6 and Oh-58 work, rotor whirl is missing but otherwise engine, turbulence, vrs, damage, flares, guns, missiles, ALL WORK! 

 

Just downloaded, pressed both enable buttons and the paths were pre populated, works well actually.

Ok so first image is the original and second is the modded file. Look correct?    Could you repeat this same technique to add support for the OH-6 mod right after it? Thanks.

This is a shout out to "Next Level Racing ".   After 8 months of use, my HF8 pad was  having problems, & they replaced it without any hassles.

Thanks I think I have that exactly right.  So this will setup the UH-60 but anybody know if you can do the OH-6 the same way? Even the the OH-58 as well by just repeating this?

I tried this and used "OH-58D" instead of "UH-60"...but it only added very faint effects.

I have three SimShaker.lua files on my computer...what's the location of the one that you are modifying?

If you use whirl and G effect, SSA increases/decreases the strength of the effect depending on the g force...

 

Kiowa support will be available on the weekend
