And that even though only less than 10% of team red pilots are on TS atm... -.- so dumb lol. RvE obviously doing their own sh*t (they are together on some TS server obviously and having fun & teamwork...)

 

 

PLEASE bring back killmessages (with 30 or 60 seconds delay for example), I don't even know if I just got splashed by fighter, Stinger or Mistral!!!

 

 

Maybe we should make this like a stream, when I'm in Teamspeak, every red pilot who is in Teamspeak with me (not AFK, flying around) gets 1 € every hour. :) What do you guys think? Would that be enough reward for you (the ones not in teamspeak, IF they're even reading this thread...) to join teamspeak? :D

 

BETTER (for the ones not reading this thread), we make it easy, serveradmins, just add an ingame notification (top right corner of screen) every 20 minutes:

 

"Please join our Buddyspike teamspeak server @ "buddyspike.ddns.net:1337", password "RayGun" to enjoy teamwork and GCI coordination! :) "

 

(I just did the ddns part for you guys, the awesome Buddyspike Blue Flag community, so from today on, "buddyspike.ddns.net" will auto redirect to " 89.163.173.82 " ;) Yes, I know, ddns.net/no-ip.com is an awesome service!)

DanielNL, if you use an SRV record you dont need the port. TS3 support SRV records :D

 

SRV? And I tried, not working, it seems "SRV" isn't set on the TS server? :P

Did you do a traceroute yet? Would like to see at which point the ping goes so high.

My favourite feature is the stuttering in combat, freezes when I'm nose down and the game crashes when a missile is launched or hit me.

 

I'm not blaming BS guys for this, it's a symptom of DCS being a horrible platform for this kind of thing.

In this example. The SRV records points to the A record "abuddyspike" and then the SRV record "buddyspike.kjeks.io" defines the port and protocol

Well dont really have a problem with this though since if anything it should be more obvious if we want it realistic.

 

Seeing as Any troops under attack would without a doubt Call for help since friendly Fighter assets are available.

So unless those troops in question had no communication asset (which would be unlikely in a Major conflict between Nato/Russia)

they would be able to alert friendly fighters they were under attack.

 

So if we want realism i might even argue for an Alert when friendly troops are under attack

but i understand most A-10 or heli pilots would probably not like that kind of system

(though Viggen pilots would probably be less worried ^^)

 

So just having the Kill messages would give far less information to the enemy Cap about Striker movements then what we would have if we wanted to be completely realistic.

 

Kill messages could also make sense especially when it comes to air-air kills as they would most likely be reported as they occurred

atleast when it comes to the scoring side (though the side that lost an aircraft would probably realize that quickly enough as well).

We don't want kill messages. People will try to bring up these trivial points about needing them, but in reality, it's just about instant gratification and wanting to know who you got. We are trying to keep things as realistic as possible while still keeping it playable. If you want to know if you got a kill, you can always look at the in game score.

Can we have some weather please? Kinda boring always flying with unrealisticly good weather, everyone always seem too want realism in this server aka no kill messages etc, but when something more than a slight breeze gets added everyone goes nuts and complain, why?? Would have been cool to have what they have on the DCS-nl server, realtime weather. If that server was PVP i would have just flown there, but it's coop wich is kinda boring for me. But i sometimes just go there to have some crosswind landings and generally get my weather "fix".

 

While im at bitching about realism, why is simple radio set to the most unrealistic settings?

 

Dynamic weather imo is a waste for a few reasons. Two that come to mind are one; if things are socked in, you aren't going to be hitting any targets on the ground. TBH, if things are IFR in real life, there are quite a lot of aircraft that aren't going to be going on mission anyway.

 

Secondly, the way wind affects aircraft in here is wonky to say the least, after it gets up to a certain speed. I will just leave that one at that.

 

Minor weather deviations are fine if people want them, but having things socked in is really pointless given what we do in here. I highly doubt most people in here know how to operate in an IMC environment anyway.

I was thinking more of a cloud top layer. Fog or mist downlow or winter.

Don't know if it's the case but I've read somewhere that clouds are not synchronized in DCS which is a problem for MP - the fact that you see a cloud and fly into it to hide doesn't mean that the same cloud also exists on other clients.

Though even if it's a case then I guess it shouldn't be a show-stopper for more modern setup like in BF. Maybe more in case of warbirds servers. Some wind (please!), fog, constant cloud layer shouldn't be a problem at all.

I can confirm this to be a true statement. However if there were a top 'layer' (like 9-10 in the cloud density setting) then all players would see the whole layer as there is no deviation in placement. This would make capturing the FARPS in higher altitude regions a bit more difficult and interesting! Imagine having to enter a canyon and stay under the clouds to hit the FARP at MM59!

So... Lateley there has been an issue with the balance. The F15 has better missiles than the Su-27 and i have been having a good time raping red for the last 2 rounds. And now they have the more balanced missiles i cant have so much fun raping them.

 

Due to this all the most structured players that use SRS have been going blue and the teams are mad stacked.

 

This creates an unfair advantage to the blue team.

 

Please disable F15 and give them F-5's or just place S-300 in a 10 KM grid all over the map.
