192nd_Erdem Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 AWESOME! Thank you guys for this great video! It's a masterpiece! I hope the next episode won't take two years :D
Pilotasso Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Yes the video was very imaginative. I took a while to figure out all the tricks used to make it. Ingame footage GCI over LOMAC's background. Very humurous as well, thumbs up! .
DPS Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 C'est merveilleux!! Godard, Truffaut, Chabrol et Rohmer manger tout son soûl. Hope that makes sense. This is the best story telling, editing, effects, etc talent I've seen in the area of flight simulator videos. Hope that you chaps are also doing some real world movie work and not just limiting yourselves to Lock On. Bravo, bien fait DPS.
GR27 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 This is the best movie i ever see, best in: Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Puppeteering, Best Voice Acting, Best Sound Design, Best Writing, Best Editing, Best Cinemtography, and Best Independent Work You are the best! :pilotfly:
ZoomBoy27 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Pleather is a combination of plastic and leather. It 's a plastic that's trying to emulate, usually badly, leather. Pilotasso Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 "oooh la vache!!" Kaboooooooooooom MOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo .
SniperRu Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Franchement les mecs, chapeau, c vraiment impressionant. Les effects visuels, la soundtrack et cette touche d'humour en fait un chef-d'oeuvre. Simplement Bravo. Keep Up the Good Work I'll say in Russian too: Молодцы мужики! очень красиво получилось. :clap_2:
warthogmadman987 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I have got to ask, how did you get the a-10 to have heat blur! I thought that was only for fast moving aircraft! DO tell. Excellent movie, wish i could do that stuff.
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Watching this took me back to the early Lockon days when the Forums were awash with posts about some funny French Lockon movie called Bill and John being entered into a Machinima 2005 Awards competition. I was totally confused. What the %$£@ is machinima? How could somone make a funny Lockon movie? Finally I found the Machinima Awards 2005 site, followed the link to Bill et John I and the Bill et John II trailer. Amazing stuff !! Side splittingly funny. The same machinima awards site also led me to Red vs Blue which is pretty d@mn funny as well. I waited and waited for the full Bill et John II to come out and eventually assumed that the makers had moved on to other things. After all, not everyone has the same Lockon addiction as I have, folks come and go. Now it is obvious why it has taken the best part of 2 years for Episode II to be released. I laughed till tears ran down my face. Even now I am E-mailing my buddies to tell them to watch this. If this doesn't win awards at Machinima2006, there is no justice..... Guest IguanaKing Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 That's a hilarious video, I couldn't stop laughing. Its got my vote. I agree with Warthogmadman, how DID you get that heat blur behind the A-10s. Its there IRL, but not usually available in the game.
SebTom Posted October 21, 2006 Author Posted October 21, 2006 I agree with Warthogmadman, how DID you get that heat blur behind the A-10s. Its there IRL, but not usually available in the game. it's a 3D FX... done by kik here an exemple seq05 / shot09 : we render the shot 5 times, bill, bill in a red skin, same for john, and then, empty (3d models removed) the red shots are used to create the masks in combustion.
SebTom Posted October 21, 2006 Author Posted October 21, 2006 and finaly... magic by kik : with new sky, depth of field, heat blur, and new HUD for bill.
Guest IguanaKing Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 MUCH higher tech than anything I would have ever dreamed of for a LOMAC video...good work!!! :D BTW...what's the BJ tail code? Is that Bill's initials?
TucksonSonny Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Wow, I had no idea! Very well done! I can’t wait to see Bill & John in action playing with some "Black Helicopters…" DELL Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 940 2,93 GHz @3 GHz, 8 MB cache | 8.192 MB 1.067 MHz Tri Channel DDR3 | 512 MB ATI® Radeon™ 4850 | 500 GB 7200 rpm Serial ATA | Samsung SM 2693 HM 25.5 " | HOTAS Cougar Thrustmaster |
warthogmadman987 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I was wondering Where and how did you guys learn to make the movies, and what are you using to make them? (sounds, aminations, maker, etc) Like i wish i knew how to overlay 2 video clips, where to get sounds, transitions, captions, and do all that interesting stuff. Some of those angles i dont even know how you did! I love all the angles. Very nice job. I use only vegas, and sometimes it seems limited. Also where can i get that version of ITS A LONG WAY TO TIPPERARY? Congrats on the great vid
Stormin Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Outstanding! Well done! I am still wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes. I will be sharing this video with some real A-10 pilots when I visit Nellis AFB next week. My compliments and appreciation to our friends at KBS. Cheers, Carl
