Well dang guess I may have to get in on this pre-order before the end date as well.

This thing just looks too good to pass up, especially with the center mount desk bracket. I guess nothing wrong with having more than 1 quality stick setup.

17th January 2017 // Announcement No. 06

....

**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT**

Due to a high volume of requests - and our determination to provide the Flight Sim community with the best solutions possible, VPC are very pleased to announce we will be providing a TMW Grip adapter and cams set for the VPC MongoosT-50 base!

The TMW Grip adapter and cams set will be available in March just in time for the release of the VPC MongoosT-50 base! ......

Does the T-50 Base still require different cams and an adapter in order to use it with a warthog grip?

If so is there an ETA?

The connector of the VPC MT-50 base and grip are now standard and match up to the TMW connector without requiring any adapters.

Additional cams are no longer required as the existing designs work very well with the TMW grip, especially the hard center cams (on the pitch axis to counter the forward CG).

The VPC MT-50 has complete plug and play compatibility with the TMW grip straight out of the box.

I could use my Warthog grip for the A-10C easily enough and the VPC Grip for some others ( assuming I like it well enough).

This is my plan. The compatibility is quite a selling point for me.

The warthog can become the base for my second rig, and I can buy a second Virpil grip for it to keep my control set ups consistent with button bindings. A very, very smart move...

Also confirmed with Cyph3r that you do not need a separate mounting plate for attaching the MT-50 base to the VPC Deskmount as opposed to the TMW where a mounting plate is required.

The MT-50 has a C bracket by which it directly attaches to the VPC Deskmount with 4 screws.

Hi Cyph3r,

Can you tell us more about the MT-50 base electronics...

A video on the electronics would be very much preferrable actually speaking ...

Hi Nash,

I've spoken about the electronics previously:

The electronics are created by mega_mozg, the mastermind behind the MMJoy2. The sensors for the axis are the VPC Contactless Digital Proximity Sensors, based on GMR (magnetic field) technology. The sensors provide 16 bit resolution across 360 degrees, or about 13 bit resolution across the joystick's travel. This means that movements as small as 0.006° are detected! Needless to say, the precision offered is mind boggling.

We will also have our own configuration suite for the VPC MongoosT-50. If you're familiar with the MMJoy2, you'll know what to expect in regards to the huge amount of customisation that will be on offer. We will of course be aiming to make this as absolutely user friendly as possible!

In the very near future we will post an indepth announcement of the VPC electronics. If there's anything in particular you want to know, please let me know!

Will it be possible to mount the stick base to an adapter plate? I have a monster-tech desk mount that I'd like to use for this...any info appreciated!

The VPC MT-50 base has mounting points underneath that could be used for this - you'd have to contact Monster-tech to ask them to make compatible adapter plates though!

Ah good to hear!

I have a drill and a lack of safety concerns, I'll just make my own plate ;)

This is good info...

I would suggest to have such information on the Virpil website as there is hardly any information there and it will really help your potential customers with all the information they need about your wonderful products...

Not everyone is on this forum and for people who are it is easy to miss it as it gets buried away in all these pages ...

Virpil has got two spring.Hard and soft.can I use virpil stick without spring?Because I fly hekicopter

If you wish to make it so the MT-50 stick does not recenter, you can just adjust the spring tension via the top adjustment holes until the centering force no longer effects the stick!

This is done without needing to disassemble the base, so it's very quick and easy to do.
