I think i've lost my FC disc....but before I order a replacement does anyone know whether BS will include FC's content? If so i'll hold off buying another FC untill BS arrives.

No, BS will not have FC content, and no su-25t, or afm su-25. You'll need FC to be able to play BS, but you can also do it with 1.02.

that might be pretty long, last i heard it was now spring of 2007? Couple months without Lock On: FC will be pretty bad. So yea i guess so get another copy of FC if you can't find it, i keep mine locked up in my safe lol.

I have both lock on and FC. I will get BS as well.. I would however prefer a FULL DVD pack with lock on + FC + BS.

Oh, just for the sake of it, will the fighter flyables in BS have the improvements introduced in FC and 1.12, or will we have uber ka-50, and 1.02-like fighters? (if one doesn't have FC)

If you -have- FC you will have the Su-25T when you add the Ka-50 on top of it, AFAIK.

 

If you buy BS alone, no Su-25T< again, AFAIK. But I think this is when it is bought in 'addon' format.

 

I would -guess- that the stand-alone version would have Su-25T.

This take the thread to it´s beggining: it would be nice to hear some official statement about the features. ED is working on BS, and so, he can tell the features it will have, despite BS is not finished yet.

 

And GG, you say we will have su25t, but Force_Feedback says we won´t... so you see? we need some oficial statement to clarify things like this.

And you answer scares me a little: you say BS will be an addon we will be able to just install over FC, so basically we won´t have new engine code?

 

Please please please ED, it weould be uselful for everybody if you just give us a list of features: what we will have and what we won´t have compared with the actual FC

Nope, taht is just a presentation, nothing more. If you take a seat and think about FC, and somebody comes and tells you that a new release will come (BS) what is your first thought? At least , mine is "what things will have BS that I don´t have now and what about the actual things that need to be fixed in FC will be fixed in BS?

 

Do you understand? I mean: we have FC, BS comes... as a customer, I want to know why should I need to buy BS. I know that we will have the k50, ok, but what else? I have just right now realice that su25t will not be flyable (bad surpise for me this news). What about the other fighters? will any of them be removed, improived, fixed in the actual bugs?

 

All of that kind of things Im interested (and I think many more people is) to know? I don´t think we need to wait for BS to be finished to kno this things, nor this things should be keep in top secret as it seems they are.

FC will stay with Starforce, BS will use Starforce as well. That has been specifically stated by ED.

The details and mechanics of the BS release still seem a touch sketchy - that link TekaTeka provided is the only place it's really been covered, so assume it's going to be that way.

 

That link says that there will be no flyable Su25T if you do not already have FC.

If you do already have FC, then you keep your Su25T.

 

It seems fair to me.

 

 

Comprehensive list of features for a sim still in development are inevitably going to end up disappointing someone. They always change ;)

I know how you feel. When I take my purple (read pinkish) unbrella my dear mother bought me in sales (no one else wanted it and it came out el cheapo) outside in a rainy day, it turns summer hot within minutes. But fullfills completely in making me look stupid. If I forget it, a diluvial storm of biblical proportions falls down on me.

IK, very true, and a bit sad. Though recall they implemented a more realistic avionics representation for the red birds in FC.

 

I think ED always tries to give out something to everyone ... some times its more, some times its less, but there's always something -in my experience anyway.

Many people here got lockon 1.02 but they dont want to buy it because of STARFORCE. If also BS will be with Starforce protection ..... sad news for them.

If I have FC and i get BS will i be able to install one into the other.

Basically, will we be able to fly the Su-25t (considering i previously bought FC) and the Ka-50 in the same game... meaning i wont have to quit BS and go into FC just to fly the Su-25t and vise versa... I guess this would be also along the lines of i dont have FC and i get BS i will basically have Lockon 1.02 with a Ka-50.

Also, like when we first got FC (if i remember correctly) will we have to uninstall all the lockon stuff includind FC and then reinstall them with the order Lockon vanilla, FC, and then BS? I assume we had to do this with FC because FC wouldnt install over Lockon 1.01 or 1.02, just vanilla lockon.
