I do alot of sim racing as well as DCS...

 

Iracing's forums are currently running hot with rumours that thrustmaster has been closed down..

 

There website is offline, which isnt that unsual to see a website down temporarily, but Thrustmaster is not mentioning anything regarding this on their facebook site which is very strange..

 

Would hate to see something like this happen.. Love my TM Warthog HOTAS, would be a shame to see them going out of business..

 

I'm hoping it's not as bad as it currently looks...

Hmm hopefully that is just a nasty rumor and it is just the website temporarily down. Surely we would have seen some sort of official announcement if they were going out of business.

Having been a loyal TM user for quite a number of years, I would really hate that to happen.

Yeah, it sounds totally rediculous that they have shut their doors.. It's probably due to the fact that the site has gone down over the weekend and their PR people are not currently working that notifications havnt been officially posted via their twitter and facebook..

Apparently the company Thrustmaster was purchased Thursday.

And the new owner shut down all operations. To include, website, driver support, and warranty support.

I was also told that you can return your product if it is within the return period but, Thrustmaster will not be supporting any products ever again period.

If you're lucky enough to find a driver on another website you'll be fine.

Everyone else basically are all out of luck and all of Thrustmaster's products are now useless."

I find it hard to believe as well. Keep in mind that reddit has just as much trolling as any other forum.

 

As far as the specific post, that Sokol did not bother to link. If they did not provide a link then that makes it even more suspect.

Even if this rumour was true, a product hardly gets useless just because it isnt supported ..

 

... you do have the driver that came with the hardware, probably also have the updated drivers that you have downloaded afterwards and as long as the device doesnt break, you can still use it just like before :)

Their stock was still being traded on Friday, which would not have been happening if they were sold and shutdown.

Nope, that is the configured backup error web page to be shown when primary server is offline for some reason.

Thrustmaster posted on Twitter yesterday that it was server issues over the weekend, and the site worked yesterday.

Now today it appears down again. Probably same issue.

Thrustmaster has made no such operations changes.

 

The Website is having technical issutes of a separate nature.

 

Do not spread false information here.
