Why you should buy MCG with english labels. :)

 

Inscriptions in Russian can bring to problems with the support of Western customers.

Here's how, for example, such a user will turn to us for help when setting up the micro control gate control.

He can not write "Управление стробамиl", he does not have a Russian keyboard.

There will also be a problem with creating profiles and describing profiles, since all the elements on the grip should be identified by the inscriptions.

They will not write "a gray button located on the side, which is pressed with a thumb".

The release of pens with English / Russian inscriptions is (due) the desire to give normal technical support and ease of use to all our customers, not just some of them.

This is solved very easy by having reference images available on the VKB website or a little card added in the product box (like the 3D renders)

 

Adding translated reference images would allow someone the ability to translate the Cyrillic into English and vice versa when needing to explain things to have support.

 

To me (an English speaker) I want the Cyrillic because this is a Russian designed stick and the Cyrillic seems to look more authentic, even though I can't read Cyrillic. I will use the positions of the buttons and hat switches to program them as close as possible to the real thing.

I don't really see the problem concerning the Cyrillic inscriptions to be honest ; each button or axes can easily be referenced by its number. If Cyrillic was a problem for some users, then the stick without labels would cause similar trouble.

Yeah. The labels are for the aesthetics mainly. If every aircraft would be using the exact same grip anyways, then they could be benefit.

 

But I anyways print own HOTAS map after getting it tweaked as I want, as sometimes after months flying it is not easy to remember what the settings were on Su-25 and then on a Viggen.

Please note: both grips are not meant to be shown to public as samples. They are only shown here for size comparison purpose and do not represent these joysticks as commodity. The WH one is pretty old and beaten, obviously taken some sadistic abuse; the MCG is a pre-pre-pre-serial prototype. What you buy is not going to look this way.

 

 

However, it is worth noticing that the WH's thumb hat is missing, and this is how we're getting to the bang bang part. This grip survived a fall down from the desk; OK, the hull still looks OK but what about the hat? Full metal hull is not a panacea.

Thanks for the photos. So, the grip itself is higher than the TM grip and when the TM-adapter part is added, it will raise it up. Well, at least the lesser weight will be somewhat offset in regards to required force by this, I'd presume.

Give me some attention please (ahem): once MCG hits the market, base will be optional.

In simple words, you want a grip, no base - here is a grip, no base. You want a base, no grip - here is a base, no grip. You want two bases, one grip - here you go.

I see no reason why there can be any problem with allowing people to get one... or two.

The only pain for now is time. We're falling a bit behind the schedule but at least you know why it happens: we only want to deliver nothing less than a perfect grip, and we're sure we will do it.

I see no reason why there can be any problem with allowing people to get one... or two.

Only thing that worries me is that I am left behind without pre-order slot and need to wait 6-12 months to get a order in :-D

 

Planned to get two bases and one grip first, later maybe add a grip more. Maybe just get first a base and grip and then add a another later, depending how quickly all is gone again. :-\

As I and couple others are waiting to get the pre-order in and pay the order right away. We don't worry about longer waiting periods but the current way not to be able do pre-order and pay right away seems bad as we are custom to pay things things right away with orders.

A change - no, a chance - neither... I do appreciate your willing to give us some business, and we do value your loyalty and trust. We would like to make things easier for you but - the payment systems are configured (not by us!) so that if within a certain time from payment there is no confirmation of order being concluded (delivered, etc.) - not only the system will draw the funds back, but it will also fine the vendor. Who needs this pain.

So we're sorry for this inconvenience but it is totally out of our control, and will remain so.

Any rough estimate on the release date of M-TCS (like early or late next year)? Would be good to know. I'm asking because my X55 throttle is falling apart after nearly 3 years. I've already had to solder the wires a while ago and they are giving me a headache again and a few switches as well. I have a choice between Thrustmaster TWCS and X56 Rhino. X56 is the best throttle currently on the market in terms of functionality IMHO but I really don't want to spend so much on a sh** quality Saitek product again that is gonna last a bit longer than a year if lucky. So if M-TCS is not too far away I might just get along with TM TWCS for a while. Thanks

Sounds like we are in the same boat. I am just hoping it lasts until the VKB one releases... I have been getting ghost presses for a while now.

Ghost presses in 99% of the cases happen either due to 1. you are not disconnecting it from USB port after PC restart or 2. Wire damage. If it was working well for a long period of time and then for no apparent reason you start getting ghost presses it is definitely the wires. If you take a look inside you will notice insulation cracks but some of them can't be noticed until you wiggle the wire while testing the buttons with Mad Cats software. Soldering them is a pain in the a**.:joystick:. It's not just 1 or 2 wires it's pretty much all of them! Soldering them is not the solution for a long term fix. You need to take the whole thing apart and replace the wires completely. all of them!

That is the only real solution always for every damaged solder, take both ends out and replace the cable and then soler back a new one. Reason is that the cables has two ending and if soldering already is weak, it means that cable is usually as well weak and under stress (as the soldering was weak already).

 

There wouldn't be problem to fix these HOTAS systems, if you could just get them disassembled easily and they would withstand the assembly back.

 

That is one reason why I would prefer something better than these usual manufacturers that are doing a "consumer products" and not a "tools".

It's def wire damage, I already opened it to take a look. I am not repairing that crap. In the process of going with VKB, just have to wait for the MCG-Pro and the throttle. :D

Please note, this i s the PRE-PRO we're talking about, and I'm not giving firm promises.

But it is coming, and it is high on our list.
