Force_Feedback Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Hey kena..... errrm, edible socks! I love smotr, sure it's propaganda, but is shows very, very much of the modern Russian armed forces. I know sukhoi has their own simulation department, and, judging from their 1998 supermaneuver program, I'd say there are either some ex- or current members of the lomac/flanker development team at work over there. There was a new 'supermaneuver' demo due out 2 years ago, but it wasn't released to the public, all we got to see were like 4 screenies, 2 of which were from the menu :/ Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Gripes Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 No, it's not Lomac. At least not the version we're flying. How can I tell? Well, I'm psyhic. That and the water trails Kuznetsov leaves behind in those videos. In our Lomac Kuz leaves only one short trail on his six..not the three long ones. Lol, you disected that one Edible Socks... I liked this clip... was wondering tho - blinking indexer (or was it something else?) during the last part of a carrier approach (in the sim)? It was probably his first sim approach:) , jk Maybe it`s supposed to blink...
Xealot Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Wow,I want that cockpit :joystick: The community newbie http://winsbydefault.com/pics/dctf1ibxh7.gif Replace this image! It's too big! © Administration (max size: 150pix height, 50kb)
galgaze Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 http://supermaneuver.narod.ru/ anyone willing to ship that cockpit to my house in argentina??? Cheers! and good flying!
Witchking Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 actually ...there are few interesting things there. The clouds look eerily similar to lomac..even the general colour palette. HOWEVER, the water and the SHIP WAKE look a looot better than lomac. FrankTheSpank Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 http://supermaneuver.narod.ru/ That's an actual sim you can download and run? I see the 4 .rar files. Anyone try it? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
504Goon Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 That's an actual sim you can download and run? I see the 4 .rar files. Anyone try it? Yep, it's a flightsim:) It's a blast.. think something like a Flanker with AFM..:) well, almost, at least.. 504th CO http://www.vvs504.co.uk
nscode Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 AFM? bwwwwwwaaahahahah :D Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Force_Feedback Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 BFM (buggy) is more appropriate, heck, I could get flanker to crash to desktop when doing some unorthodox aerobatics, well, same went for supermaneuver, and that, besides the fact that all keys are identical to flanker's, makes me believe it was designed by some members of the flanker dev team. FrankTheSpank Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 http://www.lockonskins.co.uk/?page=downloads&cat=56 Have fun ! :) haha this IS fun!!! Su-30 with Thrust Vectoring hell yeah!!! Man.. the glass cockpit is so different than what I am used to, especialy the HUD. I really wish we could get some new fighters in LoMac... So is this what the Russian Air Force actually used for their flight sim? Can I sound all cool and tell people I fly the same sim the Russian AirForce does? :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nscode Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 That thing doesn't even simulate engine momentum Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
SuperKungFu Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 ftp://ftp.redrodgers.com/Video/TV/mil_sim/mil_sim.avi Here's another vid on russian military training sims. nice, looks like they have their own lock on lol. But i love their pit and that aerial refuel, so much better than ours. And to the others, post some screenshots. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Disso Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 ftp://ftp.redrodgers.com/Video/TV/mil_sim/mil_sim.avi Here's another vid on russian military training sims. Mygosh, that reminds me so much of LOMAC. The pit makes up for every downfall their simulator may have ingame. Just being able to reach around the cockpit to flip the switch that we just press on the keyboard must be amazing. Also, about the downloadable SU-30MKI simulator, I've known about that for ages now, but just never bothered to download it. Do you think it's worth it? Screenies perhaps? SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
FrankTheSpank Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Also, about the downloadable SU-30MKI simulator, I've known about that for ages now, but just never bothered to download it. Do you think it's worth it? Screenies perhaps? I think so, it was loads of fun for a 9mb download. :) I tried to get some screen shots but they didn't come out right. I used print screen to load an image in the clipboard and pasted it in Photoshop but all I got was a black screen with some purple pixels that were in the outline of a Su-30. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 graphics are horrible but it is fun. try it. .
Cosmonaut Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 ftp://ftp.redrodgers.com/Video/TV/mil_sim/mil_sim.avi Here's another vid on russian military training sims. Nice Vid! One question though; why was the Su33 pilot practicing A2G rocket attacks when Su33 is only set up for A2A. Isn't it? Cozmo. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction. Clouds and sky looked similar, but so do most flightsims with "simple" sky ;)
Vekkinho Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 One question though; why was the Su33 pilot practicing A2G rocket attacks when Su33 is only set up for A2A. Isn't it? No, take a better look at your LO, Su33 are capable of A2G weapon delivery (although simplified than RL Flankers). We can bomb and launch A2G missiles as well. Cheers! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
192nd_Erdem Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 It may not be Lock-On, but I'm sure it's something based on the current Lock-On engine. You can tell it from the appearance of Kuz, water and especially clouds.
