My rig finally choked up

 

I got the Syrian theater installed, fired up the mission editor and put my cranium to work.

What would be a better challenge then punching through the Iron Dome from the east.

 

Having seen all these vids from Wags, I couldn't wait. One thing I forgot to do was backing off from my beloved settings of visibility Extreme and everything else on the except heat blur...

 

It was a shocker! With 8 AI Hornets loaded with Harms, crapload of Patriot batteries, some other ground units the stutter was unbearable in VR. Playing it back on a pancake screen was not that bad though.

Time to start playing with settings:(

Routine stuff...

 

I hope one day ED fixes the tanker nav lights. From long distance the tanker glows like a big flare. Between 4nm and as close as 0.3nm the tanker lights are invisible. In close they look nice.

The call to refuel was made 10nm out and my lights were on (if that has any bearing on it).

The AI Hornets glow the same way from distance but their lights never disappear. Up close - no problem.
