please post some shots from vaziani, too. my favorite airbase. are there some changes regarding a road to the airbase and missing fuel/ammo storage etc?will the whole area around be more populated with environment, forest and roads?

 

i still miss it a lot when i take off from the most real and accurate airbase (vvs scheme) within dcs. . .

I love the new screenshots, but the texture of the Tarmac is just way too dark. No contrast at all with the surrounding landscape.

 

Here's an example (Krasnodar Center):

SiThSpAwN, is possible that the new engine and Caucasus map came with advanced Mission Builder features like:

 

Mission editor placeable labels, arrows, squares of different colors, lettering, etc?

I think features similar to this are being considered, but are not expected with the initial launch of 2.5.

Personally - I don't think it's a good use of time to add a visual ruler and protractor when the functionality already exits with the mouse right click..

Forgive me for drifting away from topic, but seeing as it was mentioned I'd quite like a few small changes to it, it would be good if we could draw out the ruler, like normal but have it more persistent allowing us to draw multiple ruler lines and maybe move them around, then to delete simply click on the ruler and hit delete, does that sound like a possible idea?

 

As for the ME image for the new Caucuses map, can anyone tell me if the satellite view or maybe even the alt (altitude?) view will show us individual trees? On top of this could we expect to see another zoom level? Just for the purposes of positioning ground objects and infantry with slightly improved precision.

 

Of course I personally would like to see a top-down silhouette of units, that would be a god-send but there's no word in my vocabulary to describe what improvement a full Arma 3 EDEN style 3D editor would be.

hey,

just noticed, that on the new screenshots, it is quite obvious that the trees are way too big in relation to the houses.

i could imagine that trees are scaled up a little bit deliberately to get away with fewer trees while maintaining the same density.

however, if it is done intentionally, i think it is overdone a little bit.

 

otherwise the screenshots look truly fantastic. really lookign forward to new caucasus....
