Had to test a bit to see that yeah, it seems strongly related with lots of AI as the game runs just fine with just one client and no AI. And i am afraid that this error is deep within the current engine logic of 1.5.7, somewhere hidden. It takes ED way too long to fix this. The performance drop in 1.5.7 is significant comparing with 1.5.6. Run the attached mission... It is a simple test. 2 planes fly towards Sochi. They will be intercepted by 2 SU-27. Speed up the time lapse to around 10 acceleration, using LEFT-CTRL-Z (or W for azerty keyboards). As soon as the interception planes spawn in (the Su-27) the performance will just drop immediately... Now run the same mission on 1.5.6.... Accelerate to 20... As soon as the interception planes spawn in (the Su-27) the performance is still okay... When the planes leave Sochi, it is even better, and you can accelerate to 100!!!! Is there any more information on this error please? This is destroying the game. Have also experienced that adding a few more units - convoys, unarmed, in my case, caused these fps dips. Mission would be running fine, then I added 3-4 convoys of 10 units each, just driving slowly (11kts) along, and Id get 90, 27, 90, 29fps, cycling every second. I did have a lot of units in at that point. Lots were late activation, and a lot werent. Or maybe it was location, and search radars pick them up. Speculation. But Ill certainly experiment with it, if I run into the issue again. I dont have the mission to attach, cause it broke, and I deleted after a few rescue attempts. - Completely different matter, but suddenly I couldnt select any triggers. Have a lot of red units, ground units, and only blue planes - all client, and late activation stuff. On red side I can have EWR's no problem, but when I add a blue EWR to the mix, I start seeing the stutter. In this case 130fps dips to around 80, every second type of thing. Awacs is no problem. Removing the blue EWR and Im back to a more solid 130fps again (goes to like 126fps). So without knowing, it sure feels like the EWR's pick up ground units, and when there are many of them, we get this stutter. Drexx Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 So 4 weeks and no patch huh guys, My squad has been playing on 1.5.6 for 4 weeks now, yes its that bad, thanks for splitting up the multiplayer community even more than it has, all my development on the big project I have been working on had stopped, I cant be bothered but putting in HUGE amounts of work into a project you guys don't support (and yes I was working on something really big, and for free I might add, 4 months of work into it already). Either that, or I will go back to empty(of units) boring air-quake type maps, is that what you want? Gryzor Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Updated It. It is not solved for me, in fact it seems is the same situation in comparison with 1.5.7 previous version. If not worse, let me say for example F-15 FC3 Bear Trap Campaign it is unplayable now (stuttering goes every 3 seconds from 70 fps to 25 fps or worse), if we compare to 1.5.6 situation where performance as smooth as silk with almost no sutter.
