ked Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 you need to be GATE (full Afterburner) , then RPM will go to more than 100% and there's a led that's gonna light up

Alfa Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 In addition to the Emergency thrust mode, there is another way of increasing the engine thrust prior to take-off. As most people are aware, the Su-33(and Su-27) have a FOD protection system consisting of a mesh panel inside each engine inlet duct, which is automatically raised when the landing gear is extended. These restrict the airflow to the engines somewhat and reduce the available power output by some 10-12%. On the real aircraft there is a switch on the left console(see attached image) by which you can force the FOD grills to open state while on the ground - apparently this is represented in the sim via the key combination (left)ALT+I. I haven't seen this mentioned on the English section of the forum yet, so thought I would bring it up in case someone isn't aware of this feature. JJ

Alfa Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 No joy. I don´t find the right manual. Ah - well I found a link to a new Su-33 manual on the russian side of the forum. But I don't know if its an unauthorized leak. Nor do I know whether the manual is complete or still WIP....I kind of hope its the latter, because many aspects of it quite frankly leave something to be desired :) JJ

MadDog-IC Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) I´m reading more than an hour in the manual. Where do I find this info? The updated Su-33 english manual (dcs v1.57.10175 stable) is in the games installed directory: ..\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Doc\Su-33 DCS Flaming Cliffs Flight Manual EN.pdf Pics of exert on Su-33 (Some features) from Page 135 attached: If you keybindings aren't working for the new features: Backup your controller input config files for the Su-33 to some where else. Delete the folder:- c:\Users\YourUSERNAME\Saved Games\Dcs\Config\Input\su-33\ Reload DCS and reconfigure the Su-33 axis Controls and some keys so that it makes a new set of defaults for the Su-33 aircraft.
