Marcast Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 No way to take off from Kuznetsov with the new PFM. WEP working, FOD protection off, still everytime it's a nice dive in the sea, and I'm even unloaded. Anybody can post the right procedure to check if I'm doing something wrong?
SWE-Timberwolf Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Same here, does not matter if I am unloaded or not. Even tried to have the Kuznetsov move at full speed, but I always end up in the sea. I think it is a bug sins the 2 AI SU-33s that started after me also ended up in the sea. WEP working, FOD protection off, still everytime it's a nice dive in the sea, and I'm even unloaded. Anybody can post the right procedure to check if I'm doing something wrong? The following is my takeoff from the forward launch position, gross weight 29,500 kg. Carrier speed 50 km/hr. Dicey but do-able: The procedure is the one MadDog-IC outlines here: Su-33 PFM Takeoff Requirements. Marcast Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Carrier has two 'short' (105 meter - right deck side and part of left side) and 'long' (195 m, left deck side) runways. In the mission builder is it possible to choose the runway for taking off? Only the "auto" option is offered in the PRK box.
joey45 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Maybe on the new model but not on the old one. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. 311Gryphon Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 (edited) So I will defer to experts for sure on this, but I have managed to consistently take off at 90% weight with weapons. I struggled for several hours and toyed with different brake release timing and what not. It gets pretty sketchy and close to taking a swim but it works. Sorry, I can't figure out how to imbed the video from my YT channel. Ironhand Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) ... Sorry, I can't figure out how to imbed the video from my YT channel. Just use the "name" YT assigns (in this case: d8sF-PnfWV4) inside the YT brackets. Leave the http:http://www... off. It can get pretty dicey, that's for sure. :) Nice flying. Chrinik Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 People should use the wheelbreak start to Spool up the Engines aswell.
