The problem persists with the 2.5.2 update, a little frustrated with these bug with the weapons of the harrier. Keep it up Razbam :thumbup:

I'm away from my computer at the moment but saw a video where the guy mentioned he had similar issues that were fixed by uninstalling the module, deleting any leftover files, and reinstalling the module. He claimed it was some corruption from the big updates and reinstalling the module solved it. You guys should try that and report back. I will when I can.

I can confirm that this bug still exists after the latest beta update. I am going to try reinstalling the module tomorrow hopefully.

On a side note, I really like the new gun sound! Great job with that RAZBAM! :thumbup:

Patch date: 2017-07-06, bump. Happened to me today on Hoggit's Caucus at War. Sidearms locked and ready, but guns fired when the trigger squeezed. Pre-loaded with Stand-off 3. Resetting weapon selection to sidearms did not fix the problem.

Unfortunately this error continues with the sidearm, Razbam is not able to fix this fault. Where is the ED claim sheet for this 3party?

I found a way to reproduce the fail 100% of the times , at least for me.

 

Only sidearm load out, no gunpod or anything else.

 

-Fresh DCS start.

-Load test mission, air start.

-Select sidearm, go A/G mode, Sidearm fires as expected, no problem.

-Press * A/A Mode DOWN: Gun * button , (C in keyboard)

-Back to sidearm A/G mode , not firing anymore, even if you load the mission again.

Not only that, but it won't fire again until you restart DCS.

Exactly this, it's drive me crazy, we already know when will be solved?

bug still present in latest beta .

 

Don't now but i was on A/A mode sidewinder before it hapens . return to A/G mode , select side arm with ACP panel , pull trigger , Guns ....

Bug still persists.

 

I've figured out what's causing it, but not sure about the mechanics behind the problem. The issue is somewhere in A/A Gun Mode. If you press A/A Mode DOWN, the trigger seems to now always be overridden to fire the gunpod, even if you switch back to A/G mode, same thing occurs in NAV and VSTOL modes. If you have the STORES page pulled up when you switch to A/A Mode for the gun, you'll notice GUN is never selected (visually on the MPCD). Switching to NAV or VSTOL modes, the gun will still fire while not selected, however if you press the MPCD button for the gun, it will toggle on and off like normal, but there will be no visual indication the gun is active or inactive.

 

So long story short: If you want to fire a Sidearm, you can't go into A/A Gun Mode at all until after you've fired the Sidearm. Otherwise the A/A Gun Mode overrides the trigger to always fire the gunpod.

 

Basic reproducing steps:

- Spawn a Harrier with two Sidearms.

- Master Arm on and select the Sidearm like normal.

- Fire a single Sidearm.

- Switch to A/A Gun Mode.

- Switch back to A/G Mode and reselect the Sidearm.

- The trigger will now only fire the gunpod (issue does not apply to Sidewinders).

This bug still persists

 

Would another track showing the bug help? It has been almost a year now and steps to reproduce have been provided. I'm learning not to take a chance on any future Razbam aircraft after this. This is a critical bug that harms the aircrafts capabilities. Please stop future aircraft development until this critical bug is fixed.

In both tracks I show that the sidearm is able to fire BEFORE I select the A2A gun, and it fails to fire after selecting it. The only reason the first sidearm fires is because I have not selected A2A guns yet.

 

In the first track I fire the A2A gun to make it obvious I selected it before trying the sidearm again. In the second track I simply select the gun (without firing) and then try to fire the sidearm.

 

It is easy to reproduce. Select the A2A gun, switch to A2G sidearm, get a lock, and try to fire. Are you not able to reproduce this critical bug like everyone else?
