delete everything in your _downloads folder.

I just ran the hotfix, and it was about 1.3 GB and now it says I'm running the latest version.

Still giving me a 31gb file...this time increased from 31.5 to 31.6.....

Well, seems like your installation is missing some files that it wants to download.

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

But...what? I installed the full 2.5 with Caucasus. I tried to install Nevada (which was somewhere around the same file size) but canceled because it was taking too long--I need to wait for a day when I'm not around the computer for it to finish. It wouldn't make sense for the update to try to download Nevada when I didn't tell it to.

You might have cancelled the download, but if the Torrents are still there, they will keep trying to download it, and that's it's still showing 30GB +

The version number after the update is 2.5.0.14044.316, so nope you don't have it.

The download size is determined by exactly what modules you have installed. If it is saying 3 odd Gig, then that's what you need.

Actually it is not showing anything for download. For me it says I am current. Can I force the hotfix?

Dismiss - Found it

Hmm, HTTP is also giving me 30gb. Where are the torrent files saved?

You should be able to find them in your _downloads folder, in the main directory.

Weird...I deleted that folder to get a new torrent/download and it didn't change anything. Maybe my install thinks it needs to download Nevada or something.

Sounds very much like it :helpsmilie:

Hi

after the download check your autoupdate_log.txt it will show you everything it has done.

basically because you told it to install NV it want to the autopatcher goes out and looks for it, there is a work around for it but your editing a file that ED actually say not to edit

If you open Autoupdate.cfg in Notepad ++ (don't use standard note pad)

you'll see a line looks something like

"modules": [
 "WORLD",
 "NEVADA_terrain"
],

to eg all the modules it wants (that's my servers cfg area my main comp has a lot more there so if you didn't want nevada to install during an update

"modules": [
 "WORLD"
],

should do it as it's those lines that tell the autoupdater what modules to check and go grab, but you edit at your own risk because as said the file has

"WARNING": "DO NOT EDIT this file. You may break your install!",

at the top.

Yep, it was the Nevada terrain.

BUT, after removing it from the autoupdate.cfg, I am now getting a 59gb update via torrent, and 88gb via HTTP! What in the hell is wrong with my install?

At this point I'm just going to do a full reinstall....which is great because now I can't do anything fun for the next two days as I wait for the download to finish.
