Go back one page - Widmovr are now making custom lenses for the Odyssey which I linked, that's how this discussion started!
Thanks! This will help because I definitely feel like flying some days even though I had to take my contacts out.

I'll have to call my eye doc and get all those values for my glasses.

I figured I would give them my contact lense prescription numbers but I don't think we can use that? They require more inputs on the site.

Yeah not sure - I'm off to get my eyes tested this weekend so I can order one myself. I've been going glasses free in the headset as my prescription isn't too strong, but stuff is definitely a little fuzzier than it was in the PSVR (which I could easily fit glasses in) so I'm looking forward to seeing clearly again!

I've been to the same eye doc every year so I should be able to call and get my glasses prescription. Last year she said they did not change for glasses and also not much change for my contacts. But I figure when I run out of contacts in a few months I'll go and order more so I'll get my prescription for glasses at that time.

This would help a lot because I usually take my contacts out at night but if I want to fly I gotta put them back in or things are blurry just like you said.

Hello guys, I am a new member of the Samsung's Odyssey community. Outstanding... I just need to tweak it a little. But, so far, it is imoressive.

I am using an old 2500k i5 at 4,3, 24 RAM, SSD, and a 1080.

Very impresive.

By lowering details actuallly you do not feel too much diference because the gear does not go for the monitorresolution so, no problem reducing textures etc.

But I have to tweak it better. Next year I ll do. Major upgrade with a new processor... This old 2500k chap has been squeezed like a champ.

That's cool, just tested on Dell Visor, it really opens easy (but I had to use tiny screwdriver xD )

I have a question regarding those lenses. I wear glasses for distance, They are too strong to use in front of a PC, and although I can see reasonably well up close without glasses, I do need a different prescription to see the monitor clearly. I do not have VR yet but I am currently researching. What script would be needed for players like me,,, the computer glasses or the distance? Thanks,

It's probably going to be the distance ones, but I'm not sure at what distance you flip between prescriptions. You can always try it out by attempting to wear your glasses in the headset and seeing which one feels better, depending on the headset you can get away with wearing them for a period of time (just be careful of scratching the lenses).

One thing to remember though is that although the screens inside the headset are only an inch or so in front of your face, because of the way the (default non-prescription) lenses work everything is displayed at the correct distance in front of you, so you aren't looking at the screen 1 inch in front of you, you're looking at the cockpit 2 feet in front of you, or your wingman taxiing 50ft in front of you, or the enemy aircraft 1000ft in front of you.

Thanks, I agree, this is something I would need to experiment with AFTER I actually get one.

This was probably already posted but for anyone that uses the odyssey, I was having major issues with it yesterday.

Wmr app kept restarting itself every 2 minutes. It was nearly impossible to use. I haven't flown in a few months and just got back in yesterday so I figured some update screwed things up. Tried all kinds of fixes as online they state it sounds like a usb problem. But it worked months ago without issues.

I ended up disconnecting the headset and then uninstalling the windows wmr app. I plugged the headset back in and there was a Samsung update to version 1.80 for the headset. The odd thing was when I manually tried to update the headset in device manager it said it had the latest drivers. I didn't mess with it too much longer after that but I tried it out for a bit and I noticed the wmr app didn't restart itself after that.

Yes, it really depends on where you have to switch. In games in general you focus far away, but in DCS there are the instruments in the cockpit, so you might want to check that.

Here my latest WMR PvP flight (Mirage starting at 1:00), had to cut the top out a bit because of ED's STILL persisting grey bar bug, so what you see actually is 1440 x ~1200 pixels

yes, I forgot to close the text box... Edited by DanielNL

Any update from ED on why some users have one eye rendered at a different height than the other eye?

I've now seen it reported multiple times without any reported fixes. Has anyone been able to make it work?

I use the Odyssey without that issue and I believe NineLine does too - so it *can* work, though I've got no idea how/why my setup is different from yours. I did nothing special with mine, just the basic set up.

Yup, it's a very weird issue that seems to effect only some users with seemingly no reported fixes. I wonder if these people have given up, or found a fix and not reported back.

Did you use a Rift before the Odyssey? I wonder if there's some setting persisting from my CV1.

Is it only in DCS for those affected? Or maybe VR headset hardware issue/other games too?

Only DCS. Same as reported by other users with this problem.

I didn't use the Rift before so that's a possibility!

Your machine will easily be able to handle it - and yeah there's ASW now for WMR.
