Me too.

All other planes load fine.

Can you add a Su-25T on the Gulf Map? Su-25 doesn't exist in the gulf map of the Mission Editor.

I noticed in my log and several others posted here that the crash may relate to an "Access Violation". Could this be a DRM issue?

Hgve we identified the cause of the crashes?

In (most if not all) cases it means your Program has read/write memory which it is not supposed to do (yet).

Could this be a DRM issue?

Without knowing more of the code, this assessment is a farfetched one.

It can be <nameit> of DCS and/or the MiG-21 code.

Hgve we identified the cause of the crashes?

Most likely not.

Thanks for your opinions but I was directing my questions to the developer.

Access Violations have been associated with Star Force problems for this module and others in the past. Hence the question.

I just checked the status of this problem on their public bug tracker.

The problem was reported on 5-23-18 and is UNASSIGNED as of 1800 EDT 5-29-18.

If that's indicative of Magnitude's level of support, then I've purchased my last module from them.

the Leatherneck Simulations page on Facebook that was copied and posted in this thread states that "We are aware of the CTD for a few users attempting to fly the Mig21 on the Persian Map".

So, what is the status?

Well that confirms my suspicions.

I sometimes wonder why people jump to conclusions. It is a module by 3rd party. I think it is typical that some things might not work right away.

We had a Spitfire that crashed the game for couple months and nobody said that ED doesn't care.

To me, it seems that DCS's engine is quite tricky and definitely old, so it might take longer than usual.

Not to mention it seems (from what I understand) that it happened on the Persian map... not in the stable version right?

It's Beta.....no one is forced to use it.

Beta is the platform for you guys to test things.

We fix them as best as we can, and ED will decide when the next stable release patch is.

Those that only run the stable version should be the most annoyed if this happened.

Just flown it for about an hour in the Persian Gulf and the latest update is great.

The sound of the cannon is particularly pleasing.

The weapon release is back working as promised. The AOA seems to be more forgiving but still keeps you on your guard in those energy zapping break turns.

Its is Beta and things do take time to correct but this is well worth the wait, this module is a perfect fit on the new map.

Easily the best module in DCS!

Good work!

The release notes today say: "MiG-21Bis now works in the Persian Gulf."

Mine doesn't crash anymore. Thanks ED and the developer.

edit: Oops, didn't notice others had also mentioned the release notes. Thanks anyway.
