Well, now we have rain drops and what they do is kind of lenses refraction without that much of a FPS drop, why not, maybe it's time to try the lenses effect of that windscreen.

The technology should be similar but the amount of light being refracted is significantly lager.

I hope i'm wrong but i guessing performance isn't there yet, to handle this.

Probably, it's a huge armoured glass, but lets dream we finally got it or at least some kind of approach to it.

For the A-8 and D-9 it doesn't affect that much because of the bulges housing the 13mm machine guns. In the D-9 and in other flight sims you can see even with the "compromise" frame size the mg bulges above it, so you would be looking at them rather than in front of the plane, if refraction was fully modelled.

I know our models feature the bulges, though even if that were the case refraction works in every direction so cowling laterals and even a little bit downwards should be visible. In a perfectly modelled 3D cockpit only refraction would give us the complete real view as compromises are just what the name says.

I'll be that guy and start asking for additional versions before the module is even ready...

Fw-190A8 didn't have many ground attack options, but of course is one of the iconic versions of snubnose Fw-190. So I'm glad we are getting it, but also wish we can get Fw-190F too.

Seeing that the difference between the Fw-190A8 and F8 is fairly little, I would love if this version can be added into the module as well.

Currently, thanks to P-51D, allied warbirds have great ground attack capabilities. With the upcoming P-47 and Mossie, the gap will widen even more.

Fw-190F would give access to more bombload, cluster bombs, and rockets, as well as gunpods. Thus, it would give some ground attack capability to the axis side too, even if not really parity.

So if it's adding some armor to some parts and adding a ground armament panel to the cockpit, and removing a couple of guns, I would love its inclusion into the A8 module.

Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V

I don't even care if it is a completely-separate full-price module. I would dearly love some better Luftwaffe ground attack capability. The FW 190 F-8 is the obvious "easy route", given its clear similarities to the A-8. I certainly feel we have better chance of ever getting that than, say, a ground attack Messerschmidt (Me 410 or 262) or Junkers (Ju 87, 88 or 188 ).

It think the F8 sometime after the A8 is finished is a no brainer. It is the easiest option for DCS, it was the Luftwaffe's primary ground attack plane during the final year of the war and, with exception of the jets, also the most survivable. Simply perfect to flesh out DCS WW2.

Absolutely agree, after all historically the role of the F-8 with the Jabo was very important, they worked with the escort of Bf-109.

And as you rightly say not doing an F-8 would be a shame, personally I would buy it even if it was an airplane to buy separately.

Yep, maybe as a separate module, or some kind of DLC perhaps. They already said there won't be more than simple A-8 so.

i could imagine that the F8 gets added later, like the clipped wing spitfire.

Yes, this can also be a chance to get the F-8, we'll see...

Propeller pitch will probably have manual control like 109K-4.

In Aircaft handbook is written that there is in case automatic malfunction possibility of control propeller pich manualy.

Throttle lever is described as a "Throttle lever with thumb actuated propeller pitch control" in cockpit description.
