Some more minor issues/suggestions:

  1. Mission 4 (maybe not caused by the campaign script): If you miss something in the 9-line dialogs procedure JTAC stop to respond (workaround: check-out and check-in again). Seen when in contact with "Finger" for 2nd SAM target, I've missed to ask for Notes and Finger stopped to answer to my IP-INBOUND/any other messages.
  2. (cosmetic) JTAC APC is placed ~ 100-200 meters in plain view between the two target... Should't it be concealed in some way?

HI, no problem always like to hear constructive comments. Means I can plug gaps and make the whole think better for people. In fact some of your last comments are now updated in revision 6A.

Yes. the 9 line procedure is out of my hands.

Regarding exposed JTAC I know what you mean but if obscured they some times do not work. Their positioning can be very temperamental. So when working it is sometimes best left as is. Of course as Razor18 picked up "The Force" is with him , did it with the Star Wars Mod :)

Not a problem being pedantic I'm used to it i live with one ................. who said that

Hi

Yes you need to fly between way point 4 and 5 there is a trigger there. If you go wide you can miss it. I have changed this to be much more forgiving in a mission update which will be issued by ED.

The update also addresses how the attacking planes act and their weapons. Unfortunately the mission 1 that was issued was not the latest version and so is harder than intended.

I have a question regarding mission #5 (Caucasus & Nevada version). After finish the mission I am ordered to land in Tblisi 13R and take the left exit, but after that I did not know what to do to receive the mission complete message. I destroyed all assets and.... (spoiler).

Thanks for this great campaign.

Take the exit at the end of the runway (the one that runs back parallel to the runway, so you basically do a U-turn after you're on the taxiway), follow it over the closed runway, and turn LEFT to park between the other aircraft/starter carts beside the tent on the apron. IIRC it gives you voice cues once you're on the correct taxiway.

OK thanks. Probably I did not hear the low voices.

Glad you got sorted only just saw your post.

Glyn, just wanted to note appreciation for this campaign - absolutely loved it and a perfect difficulty curve for the ok-ish and infrequent flier I am.

Loved the atmosphere you created in all the missions.

cheers, L

Glad you enjoyed the campaign.

You should now try the Serpent’s Head 2 Campaign. It follows on from this campaign.

Cheers

Just so you know, I am working on the next campaign and have been for 9 months.  This will follow Ford and his wingman from the Black Sea to the Gulf. This a 15 mission campaign. He is based on the USS Abraham Lincoln SC and there will face a new foe.

Oh forgot to mention the Serpent’s Head 2 Campaign has to versions included. One normal and the other with EZ A2A refuel. The latter for pilots who haven’t quite got the black art of capturing the basket down yet. Of course you get both so when you can Plug you can fly it again but using the normal version.

Dare I ask how long for this new campaign?

Hi

No idea at the moment these things take an enormous amount of time. I am waiting for the lead role to complete his voice files. I am really stuck until I get these. Also smoothing out bugs in the last few missions and finally in the hands of ED as to when it would be published. So you see it’s difficult to say but will get it done as soon as I can.
Always looking for voice actors though as cannot do these things without them.

On mission 5 I start on the carrier and altitude (baro) is -410 feet. The HUD ladder is misaligned  to the far left on the previous mission (4) and on this one (5) as well.

Should it not start on baro for altitude and say 70 or  on radar, for that matter, and say 0?

I find this a little frustrating and am not sure why this is happening.

You can adjust the pressure with simple knob at the analog baro-altitude gauge on the lower -  right console. In fact,  it is not set on  this mission startup.

Excellent. I figured a little thing could help. I imagine this takes care of the altitude but not the mis-alignment of the INS. I have tried shutting right down and doing a cold start as well as trying to update the airframe position via tgtdsg  on a waypoint and updt then dsg then acpt also tried via tcn to no avail. However, getting a start on sorting out the altitude at least will motivate me to just push through it and finish off the campaign. Frankly, I should have thought of that myself but I thank you sincerely Pio for taking the time to give me a push in the right direction.

Thank you and happy flying!

Hi Oozler

Saw your mail. Have updated the campaign in the user files just now . Each mission now starts with the Std pressure setting 29.92 so height will be fine now at start.

Not sure about the INS misalignment. This is not a mission scripting matter and so if it is an issue it is DCS generally. However I just run up missions 4 and 5 and HUD was not offset at start?

Hope this helps

Cheers, Glyn.  I didn't think it was. I have made many missions myself and had not encountered it before. I thought perhaps it was something to do with DCS updates since the last update/release of this campaign but I am by far an expert on the MB/Scripting. I am going to finish off the last 2 missions now (I hope *lol*) and let's see if the issue persists. Regardless, I thank you for your time creating content and also for taking a moment to touch base via the forum. Appreciated.

Stay safe and happy flying!
