CBStu Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 I have no idea but I sure wish that time readout could be turned off.
Strikeeagle345 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 I have no idea but I sure wish that time readout could be turned off. It can. On the HSI, bottom row, right side. Box TIME UFC. Then on the UFC option buttons, press ZTOD once. The time will be gone. Then go down to the HSI and unbox TIME UFC. Anyone? Its the Zulu Timer. Not sure what EI stand for though. ED Team NineLine Posted March 7, 2019 ED Team Posted March 7, 2019 Stands for zulu time, although we are not sure why Boeing chose EI, and yes it can be turned off from the HSI page. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

maxTRX Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 If I remember correctly (from natops) EI simply means the time is taken from IFEI. It can be set via "TIMEUFC" or from IFEI.
Alphamale Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 (edited) I'll guess "Engine Instrumentation" for "from the Engine Instrument panel. Just a guess. Edited March 8, 2019 by Alphamale
imacken Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 Yet, if you set the IFEI to Zulu, the HUD EI time doesn’t change. So, maybe not that. imacken Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 Just noticed there is a LTOD option in the TIMEUFC options that is not functional. Presumably, that will be activated soon and we can get local time on the HUD? PitbullVicious Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 I think it is feature of Finnish Hornets. "Ei" (pronounced "ey") in Finnish means "no" and we tend to be a bit negative as a nation, so it's always an "ei" time. i9-9900K @ 5.1GHz | MSI Ventus 3X OC RTX3090 24GB | 64GB 3200MHz DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z390-E | Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 Sound Card | Virpil T50CM2 base w/ F/A-18C / A-10C / Virpil T50CM2 Grip | WinWing Super Taurus Throttle | MFG pedals | TekCreations Hornet UFC, Landing Panel, Right Console | WinWing Hornet Combat Ready Panel | Buddy Fox UFC | Foxx Mount | 3 x TM Cougar MFD | HP Reverb G2 | Wacom Intuos S (with VRK) | Honeycomb Alpha Yoke | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | CH Fighter Stick Pro & Throttle | MS Sidewinder 2 FFB | Track IR 5 | Oculus Rift CV1 善く戦う者は、まず勝つべからざるを為して、以て敵の勝つべきを待つ。
maxTRX Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Yet, if you set the IFEI to Zulu, the HUD EI time doesn’t change. So, maybe not that. You can have a timer on the HUD and local time on IFEI... the "source" is IFEI. IFEI gets ZTOD from GPS... etc. I don't think this is all fully modeled yet:smilewink: I'm too lazy to look it up. Someone will sooner or later.
RightStuff Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Just noticed there is a LTOD option in the TIMEUFC options that is not functional. Noticed this as well. Currently I'd call it a bug - or currently not modelled. 9L, can we get a confirmation on this issue? TIA!
Harker Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 LTOD (Local Time) and Set (Date) don't appear to be implemented as of yet. I'm looking forward to being able to use LTOD once it is though.LTOD works. After you select LTOD, you can set a new local time, hit Enter and it'll update the local time and ZULU's minutes and seconds. Maybe the only bug is that you don't get the : next to the option after you select it, but I don't know if it shows up IRL. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs.
