That'll take a while....sry for being stupid but what's the point with unwrapping?

i hope my english will be enough for this :)..

Skin files are paints or colors of many different parts of models on a single surface. You cannot just attach the image surface to the model..

you need to address the colors or shapes on the surface to the model..

Take pilots texture for example..

it looks like this

pilot-usa-af-okras.bmp.jpg

When you want to use it to skin a 3d pilot model, you have to adress the face to the 3d face, arm to the 3d arm, legs to the 3d legs, etc.

Sometimes those 3d models can be moduler..

Addressing every indivisual part is called mapping.

But sometimes models are just one big pile of polys,

then you need to select each poly and address the specific part of the image to that poly, that is called unwrapping..

PS.

-sorry i am a bad teacher.. i hope i managed to give you an idea of unwrapping

-Now imagine this on an aircraft :)

No more teaching till A10 finished. Ha Ha. Great info as usual, don't get burnt out trying to keep up with questions. Lots of time later. Your work is very hard and takes a long time and consentration, your mind must be getting awefull tired. Outstanding work, take your time. We can wait. Don't want you all burnt out. Too valuable to this community.Cheers, relax, it will come to be soon enough.

Hi everyone, Deadman invited me over to give some inputs on you guys A-10 upgrades. Hey it's looking GREAT so far, Yeni you have done some great work on the old Hawg model!

I posted some comments (Deadman) in the PM section and will try to get to the other questions when time allows. I don't have much free time but, I will try to stop-in every day or so to answer any question(s) I can on the A-10.

Long live the A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog"!

Woah..

Thats great..

Welcome..

First question..

what are the rwr antennas look like?.

in pictures some of them are round and some are cornered...

Wich one is the one we should use?

Second question

the little AOA wings at the body wing intersection slats....

when they open, do the back of them open also?..

Third question

There are some square holes near the body of the aircraft..

are they empty or do we need to fill them..(and what are they?)

Fourth question

Do they still use the GPS bowl thingy right behind the cockpit?

(Alpha testers found out ist not used anymore.. just wanted to double check)

And final question

Are cockpit glasses always 2 color?..(Dark brownish in front, blue in main glass)

well thats about it :)

Thanks in advance Dice..

just to clarify, I'll back yeniceri's questions with some pictures on #2 and 4

second question

forth question

pic2.jpg

We figured the GPS bowl thing was for the A-10C and not the A-10A that we are currently modeling.
