Deadman Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Yeniceri Great work so far take it one step at a time the model and skins first then if your not totally burned out by all the do this do that. It would be great if you can. Thanks again for all the hard work:thumbup: in the file 2pilots i rechecked the ACES II ejection seat on the right is 1100 and the pilot is 5570 so i don't know which pilot had 1,8000 sorry i can't be of more help https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Yeniceri Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 dont say that.. You have been a great help about lots of things.. I sometimes get confused about polys and faces and vertexes, etc.. One day i count polys, one day i count faces.. :) Sorry for confusion.. The A-10 count is faces.. on poly side its much less than 50.000.. but the pooly count on stock planes are much lower than that.. Troffmeister Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 http://www.cea.mdx.ac.uk/cea/CEA_shared/Staff_Magnus/Introto3D/Fundamentals3D/fundamentals3d.html A model is specified by a set of 3D coordinates which together constitute a mesh ( actually a model can have multiple meshes - but don't worry about that for now.)The mesh is not usually an arbitrary collection of those 3D coordinates, but is normally organised into groups of 3 (triangles) called a face (polygon) The number of polygons (faces) that a model has is important: More polygons better definition/resolution of a model requires more processing - slower [*]Less polygons poorer definition requires less processing - faster normally organised into groups of 3 (triangles) called a face (polygon) ============ So faces and polygons are the same thing - had to clarify that for myself ) so when ED specify a 50000 polygon model is best etc- build in 3dmax to 50000 faces - and all should be good )
Yeniceri Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 you are right trof.. my mistake.. now i mixed faces with triangles :) at polycounter in max.. i look at triangles always.. but thats the real poly count that means a-10 is 33.207 poly and 64.455 triangles :) ITs 33k poly guys :) hurrah!!! Yeniceri Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 so how can we maesure it then? is it triangles that we should count? [sIGPIC]http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa200/misikci/41-imza-1.jpg[/sIGPIC] "To infinity...and beyond!.." SIM-MOD Modeler TURK!
