First you say that for $40 you should get a better FM and then you say a better FM could be charged $60

 

Waggs hinted DCS needs the revenue stream from FC3, Im saying give us something worthwhile and charge $60.

^^As you said, 40$ is currently overpriced for what we have right now. However, it's still a beta and I'll reserve my judgment untill the final release.

If they fix the taxiing aka ice skating and landing physics, the current price will be IMO acceptable (not counting the bugs that also need to be fixed but that goes without saying).

I wish any campaigns/missions with Russian aircraft had Russian pilot/a.i. voices enabled by default.

 

I think there's a mod out there to do this, but it would be nice to have it setup like that without modding.

Actually it does, and this is why you do not see one.

 

and the SM wouldn't require a cockpit change (as would a SM2/3).

Yep, many would ... unfortunately the climate in Russia is not condusive to such a thing for now, at least AFAIK.

I think with new Su-27/33 models, should be done new Sorbcija ECM pods.

This post make me to say something.... MP in 1.12 was great and community was large. Each weekend was some of missions, or event all over. BSS, Red Flag, GI, Nucleus, Cooperative Archer and more. People were happy, satisfied, nobody was thinking about some perfect cockpit, or extra details, all were about to log hyper lobby and have awsome evenings in combat. Skies were on fire on all severs, multiply options for dogfighters, BVR, A2G everything. Many squadrons took a part, some more some less but all of us was flying, making friendships, starting argues and fight :) but we were HAPPY!!!

 

Then showed 2.0.... Instantly half of squadrons died, rest was crippled and decreased, public events DEAD! I remember first Red Flag in 2.0, was failure. Servers were empty even in evening hours. I am very afraid what will happen after 3.0. I red almost all posts here and all i see is dissopointment. All of us trying to do something to save this sim, bcs we remember old days. Gents if you dont have community and working, active servers playable - you dont have NOTHING! This is all in vain. Give opportunity to simmers to win learning expirience and with trainings, not with some fancy crap, and with making favoritism of one side. This is war, combat sim, and if you make one side, same side wont have anyone to fight with. Game is over. S! all.

 

 

It is sad for those who enjoyed MP, I feel you. Best of all was the HL trash talk before the flights :)

Maybe small corrections for F-16:

 

AGM-88 HARM only carried on station 3 & 7 and not on 4 & 6;

Single AGM-65 also on 4 & 6 (now only on 3 & 7)

While I know clickable cockpits are out of the question, I would like to see a key command that at least changes what screen the MFD displays, which could mean some form of data-link (that's not completely omniscient, mind you) implemented, or more crucially, a navigational display of some sort. Playing the F-15C campaign mission where you have to do some valley flying to get close enough to down the A-50, it bugged me that I had to constantly check the CDI to make sure I was on the right path, which went right out the window again when I had to take another course change to maintain terrain masking.

rearm and repair sounds for FC3 and DCS

 

Hi all,

 

I would like to have some rearm and repair sounds so we know, that there is actually somthing going on on the bird. Would be even nice to have some bordcrew walking around or just see some weapon cars, so we can hear and see that the task is gonna be done.

 

Right now the repair is under cover. only when the crew chief says: repair finished, you that it is done.

 

Just my two cents

Upgrade russian missiles R-77 or R-27 like F-15C have upgraded 120

 

Becuse now russian jets still stuck with 80's missiles and and F-15C keep geting new ones almost 00's missiles

DCS prides itself on modeling modern military operations within inches of real-life. This entails mirroring real world developments in the field. So when one side virtually stopped military R&D for nearly a decade and the other only had the occasional speed bump throughout the years, of course there is going to be a disparity in overall technological capabilities. In fact, a lot of MiG-29 drivers in FC3 should count themselves lucky they even have the R-77/AA-12 to play with, considering that in real life its biggest customers is not the Russian Air Force, but those of the Indians and Chinese.

 

Of course, there are ways to make the "Red" side in DCS very much the equal of the "Blue" side. Ground-based air defense technology is something Russia has historically had the edge on the West. It's just that the way the AI works (not to mention limitations in the engine's AI) means it doesn't behave very intelligently or in line with actual real-world tactics(ex. SA-15s and SA-11s remaining largely stationary with their radars constantly blasting, which is asking for a HARM to drop right down their paints).

Yesterday I was playing on a MP server with the A-10C, got shot down by a Mig and I thought "Damn, gonna have to do that start up procedure again... :("

 

Thats when I had this idea (sorry if anyone already posted this): don't you guys think the FC3 planes should have some sort of feature to slow down how fast they can get to the air? I don't mean anything fancy... You just press the buttons to turn on the engines and a 4-7min timer appears (like the one when you use the auto-start button on a DCS aircraft), maybe it plays the Battery/APU sounds so it isn't too quiet.

 

I know it sounds gimmicky, but one of the reasons FC3 fighters don't fear each other is because they know if they die, they can get to the air almost instantly, instead of thinking "If I die, our strikers won't have support for at least 7-10mins depending how fast I can get to them"
