Not sure if this is a bug or realistic, but in Wags's TGP video, he said you command the TGP to point track or area track by pressing SSS Right (presumably when the TGP is already selected as SOI), but I can command either by pressing SSS Depress.

I am not able to replicate this issue, sensor select right changes from Point to Area, Sensor select depress doesn't change it for me, have you customized your controls perhaps?

I'll take a second look at my controller assignments just in case and report back.

I would also like to confirm, I am able to toggle the Point and Area tracking via the Sensor Select Switch - Depress. Verified my controls just to make sure as well.

My Rig:

CPU: i9-9900k - Corsair H150 Cooler. RAM: 32GB, 3200Mhz.

Mobo: Asus MAXIMUS Formula XI - Main Drive: 512GB NvME SSD

DCS Drive: 512GB NvME SSD - Graphics: GTX 1070 Ti. Display: 23" 1080p LG LCD.

Input: Razer Naga & Blackwidow Ultimate, TrackIR 5, HOTAS Warthog & MFDs (x4), Saitek Rudder Pedals, TurtleBeach PX22 Headset.

I am also experiencing this. When I try to set TOO coordinates for a JDAM, I establish a pointtrack and press a joystick button bound to Sensor Control Switch Depress. Instead of transferring coordinates, it just toggles the track type, same as Sensor Control Switch Right would do (with FLIR on right DDI).

Edit: It's also reproducible when I bind a random keyboard key to Sensor Control Switch Depress.

Edit2: this inability to create a target point renders the TGP completely useless for targeting guided weapons.

Setting the Target Point is done via TDC Depress, not SSS Depress, and that does work correctly.

SSS depress toggles through ATRK/PTRK/MEM for me too.

SSS right does the same though.

Same here

Haven’t tested with TGP on left DDI or AMPCD

Also when changing SOI to left DDI or HUD and back to right DDI the TGP track mode changes when it becomes SOI

As stated, TDC Depress to transfer coordinates, not Sensor Select Depress.

 I'm an idiot, thank you for pointing that out. Am now able to create target points with the TGP.

I've looked at this thread ten times probably, and it just downed on me that mine does the same as well. Matter of fact, I had my brain programmed to use the depress to switch between A/PTRK and not once have I ever used left/right SS to switch it. No special control setups, just standard DX assignments, using warthog. Depress is mapped to throttle china hat right, SS mapped to stick DMS buttons.

I have the same issue, using the Warthog Grip on a WarBRD base. When the FLIR is on the right screen, I can press either Sensor Select Right or Down and it will switch from point track to area track and Mem

Yeah, I reimported in the stock profile for the Hornet, still don't see it, although I am using the Hornet stick, I will see if I can get BIGNEWY to check this out as well.

Sensor select down or depress? Most art talking the depress, down moves SPI to the MPCD for me.
