Shaders mod for better VR performance (experimental)

I dont spend as much time browsing the forum as I would like, but tonight stumbled across this thread "shaders mod for better VR performance (experimental)"

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215373

I'm probably the last to the party on knowing about this, but so far i'm really pleased with the performance gain in the few flights i've had, especially in dog fights where the other planes render much better/sharper and dont look like ghosts/blurred vision when looking out the side windows as they fly by.

If you havent tried it, it may be worth a look?

The main issue is that it requires continual maintenance when DCS is updated and its finicky to use online. I wish there was some way ED could make it an official option (like a tick box or set of tick boxes in the GFX menu)

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

I don't fly online. Does the mod stop working after each update?

Certainly agree it would be great to have an official option to use optimised shaders to give better vr performance.

When I was using it it would depend. Sometimes it kept working fine, other times I had to reinstall it. Overall it worked as advertised, but it was a hassle to use.

Pretty much every time my DCS would update, I would have to go back and do the shaders mod dance again, and I don't fly on-line either.

Haven't needed the shaders mod since I got my Reverb. The Reverb allowed me to get rid of the performance killing PD of 2.0 that I was running with my Rift.

This would be ideal especially when there is already a VR setting to select in dcs control section.

This mod parameters can be further added to the in-game settings for VR.

The few times I used it, it worked good.

Unfortunately not IC compliant

Sorry, what does this mean? IC?

BTDT... Along with the other guys VR mod for zoom and whatnot. Nothing back from ED. Wish in one hand, you know what in the other, see which fills up first. :)

Integrity check for online use. Anti-cheat device.

IIRC you could do like a partial mod which kept most of the performance and still pass IC. But that was an even bigger PITA.
