Armée de l'air

2 Eurofighter Typhoon from the RAF N°3 squadron visited the French Air Force Base of St Dizier from March 2 to 5. The purpose of the meeting was to initiate cultural exchanges between the two squadrons as per the June 2010 Lancaster House treaty: Before the end of 2012 Rafale and Typhoon Pilots will fly their conterpart's fighter jet in order to improve the mutual knowledge of each machine (weapon system and training).

But why the fixed prob though...

I wonder how many Typhoons were taken apart to get those 2 in the air.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Or doing maneuvers without any input that most other airplanes can not perform even with a pilot on the stick :music_whistling:

Well after watching the video I dont think unmanned AI flown planes are practical yet. Though I was impressed at how it kept trying to fly itself to safety. Of course that was 1995, so maybe today an iPhone app could use its better CPU performance to have successfully landed. :megalol:

Hehe, pragmatic approach - as long as it's removable marker being used ;) :)

I guess it must have been. It looked to me like the writing would be upside down when the canopy/door was closed, though...

Osan's Assam Draggins light 'em up

An A-10 Thunderbolt II lands on the runway July 15, 2011, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. Much of the training performed at Eielson is not easily completed by the 25th Fighter Squadron from Osan, Republic of Korea, making large combat training exerices like RED FLAG-Alaska and Distant Frontier critical in helping meet qualifications for A-10 pilots. By presenting pilots with multiple challenges in the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex, the 25th FS can properly exploit the heavy armament and weaponry the A-10 brings to combat and comply with annual training requirements.
