I may be exposing myself with a stupid question here but when I try to edit the unit to client the mission will not allow saving the edit. Am I missing a step or is this just a limitation of how campain licensing works and therefore fully SP only?

Really enjoying the campaign so far btw, very impressed!

I think the files are ''read only''.

You'd have to modify this first and then open DCS and edit the mission in ME.

If I recall correctly I had to do this to modify parking spots on the M2000 South Ossetia campaign.

At that time AI planes would not leave shelters of spawn damaged or blown.

What's more, I'm introducing a free Channel map alternate update to The Big Show. I selected 5 of the missions where both the historical home base and the target area can be found on the DCS Channel map, and recreated them from scratch. If you don't have the Channel map, you can still play the campaign over Normandy. If you do have it, you'll have the option to choose which version you want to fly.

I hadnt noticed this before ... THANK YOU, that is really toughtful and it amazes me that you provide this for free to your current customers of the Big Show Campaign 🙏

You're most welcome - it's actually primarily for myself, I just wanted to fly a huge Big Show mission out of Biggin and Detling over the amazing Channel map 😄

and believe me, with the 2.7 weather and other updates, it's like a new game! It was totally worth the effort.

You were not kidding! I'm about halfway through Horrido! - I stopped playing WWII because of the flashing graphics glitches I was suffering each time combat erupted. That seems to have been fixed now, and the Channel map with the new weather (and whatever they did with gamma/saturation/lighting) looks freakin' amazing. I've decided to to start the campaign over from the beginning and enjoy it again in the new glory. Then Wolf Pack and the Big Show - almost certainly not in that order .. or in any order.

Excellent campaign, by the way - fantastic atmosphere and fun missions. I'm always happy just to make it back to base, no matter if it was a successful mission or not.

Thanks! 🙂 You'll notice that Merville airfield was completely redone - which gave me a lot of headache and a few days of extra work, haha

Totally worth it (for me 😄), I am sure.

Thanks for updating all your campaigns and just generally keeping things running the best they can be. Much appreciated!

Thanks a lot for the Wallpapers .. your's are the only Campaigns to provide this little extra 👍

In fact, I stumbled a bit before finding where to enable the Wallpapers, as the DCS desktop does not include Icons for the Campaigns, until I finally found them here:

... gorgeous Wallpapers by the way 🙂

Thanks a lot, and glad to have almost all of your Campaigns.

Oh, man. I didn't know about that. Sweet!

(I buy all of Reflected's campaigns even if I'm not flying that particular plane at the time)

Looking forward to what these look like in 2.7. Hopefully I'll have some time soon.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. For the last while I have been trying to convince myself to get the 109 and/or P-51 just to play these campaigns. I really have very little interest in either plane in and of itself.

The above Sabre wallpaper is a screen capture done on DCS 2.7 with the new clouds on the updated Campaign 👍

Here are the 15 chapters of 'Fear the Bones!'. I'm using the word 'chapters' instead of 'missions' deliberately: this campaign is going to be my most heavily story-driven one, it's like an 80s TV series with you as the main character. The 'episode' titles should give you some idea about the story, but they won't spoil any surprises. Stay tuned!

In 'Fear the Bones' you'll get to know your squadron mates, they all have their own personalities (and custom skins).

The crew of 203 is LT Joseph 'Elvis' Walker and his RIO LTJG James 'Glory' Hole. Elvis is from Memphis, Tennessee. He's hard headed, impulsive, very direct by his own words, downright rude, borderline asshole if you ask anyone else. Still, a friend you can count on at any time. Glory looks so young he barely has a few hair above his lips, hardly enough to call it a moustache. He's very enthusiastic about flying, it's his first deployment, and he has no idea what to expect - then again, even the seasoned pilots couldn't foresee these events.

In 202 you'll find a strange pair: LCDR Tyler 'Caveman' Preston and LTJG Paul 'Grip' Wilson. Caveman looks a lot like an uruk-hai from 'Lord of the Rings'. A huge guy, but quite friendly, and a very good stick. Grip on the other hand is 5'6, and he looks like any young surfer dude from Venice Beach. Nobody is sure why he joined the Navy. It's his first deployment and he's got a lot to learn.

204 is sporting a new lo-vis TPS camo instead of the older gull grey, and she's flown by Ghost and Pyro. Lt Joe 'Ghost' DiAngelo was born and raised in Brooklyn NY by Italian parents. He's a real tough guy, has been in fights all his life. Not too talkative, not very easy to get along with, he can come across as downright grumpy, but deep inside he has a huge heart. His RIO is LT Jack 'Pyro' Bonilla. An experienced RIO on his 2nd deployment, father of 2 beautiful girls and husband to a loving wife. Always picks his nose though. You can only wonder how badly he f-ed up at the RAG if his callsign is not related to this habit of his...

Last but not least: 201 - your jet. Your name is LCDR Martin ‘Jaws’ Brody. An experienced pilot and Topgun graduate. Your RIO is LT David ‘Jester’ Pittman. You’ve been flying together for a few years and you two have become very good friends. I’m not going to say anything else, you’ll learn more about your character (and the others) in the upcoming ‘Fear the Bones!’ campaign.
