VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Throttle = Detent yes or no?

I am interested in the VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Throttle, but i need to know if it has an detent. Does anybody know it for sure?

 

 

The T-50CM1 is explicit with no detent. But no detent is a dealbreaker for me.

Yeah I think Virpil has moved away from detents, which I also would not get a throttle without.

Take a look there. But bear in mind that if you're getting the new throttle, that one might not work for you. The throttle throw range has changed, so you might want a bigger detent and the dimensions could have changed.

for detents the answer is NO, V1 and V2 throttle had detents, no version past that has them (CM1, V3) and the new (CM2, V4) ..........

 

CM2, the new throttle has 70 deg of throw, all older ones has 50deg

 

Oh and can anyone spot another major difference between CM1 and CM2 throttles in the specs listed on the website?

Is there any kind of resistance? I am playing in VR and i can´t see the throttle. My only possibility is feeling a little resistance, before my engine overheat or my afterburner is alway on.

No, resistance is pretty constant across the movement range on the non detent throttles

You can program a software detent with Virpil's configuration program. It works well if you mainly fly only one plane but if you jump around different aircraft it can be a pain.

The new CM2 throttle ......... what is missing from the product page is ......

adjustable throttle tension

 

All the other throttles apart from the new CM2, there is a recessed nut on the left side of the throttle you can turn which adjusts the amount of tension on the throttle handles (force required to push or pull the throttle handles forward or backward)

 

On the CM2 throttle you will have to remove from the mount, disassemble it (take off the bottom plate) to adjust the tension on the throttle handles, then put it back together

Only a little more expensive than the CM2 which is worth every penny. I've already pre-ordered the CM3!

The CM3 is looking really good and high-tech designed. I have been watch YouTube reviews on it but scarce content in relation to dcs.
Good numbers of buttons to play with. The various detents adapter are just fantastic.
This could very well pair with my thrustmaster warthog flightstick.

Yeah it impressed me enough that I went ahead and pre-ordered. I just could not pass this one up.

I will be pairing it with a VKB Gunfighter Pro stick.
