I noticed the cockpits was re textured last OB patch and in the latest Stable build patch and seems to have a darker toner overall.

I liked the old graphite-ish look better as opposed to the current all out black, especially as most photos it doesn't look quite as dark as the current updated cockpit does.

Yes the re-texture for the Hornet came in the openbeta patch that came before this last one that introduced TWS.

For me a VR user, the dark texture makes the cockpit text very clear and striking against the dark background.

Anyhow, ED says they would still tweak the cockpit textures. Fingers crossed and hope the clarity of text and label as it is would not be affected.

Hornet cockpit textures were not changed, there was a global issue of too much blue light, we balanced and corrected this issue.
That is interesting. It made a lot of useful difference especially in vr.

I knew it, so let me ask this, are textures for bug going to be updated accordingly or is this something we need to just get used too? Because ATM it seems pretty dark compared with the real thing.

Was this in the patch change log?

It's all about the lighting, textures won't change. Have you tried adjusting settings in-game, or even make sure your monitor tuned to where it needs to be as far as brightness and contrast? I am not really seeing an issue on my end.

That could actually help seeing stuff inside the cockpits as blue light blinds the most (and just BTW, I really hate blue LEDs and those modern blueish xenon car lights). I just didn't have the chance to try it out yet icon_exclaim.gif
