What are DCS World's limits.

I am curious what are the theoretical limits of DCS World 2.5.5.

 

WHat is the altitude limit. Is it NASA definition of space. About 160,000 feet.

What is maximum speed of any object in DCS,. Mach 5, 7,9, 27?

Normal modern combat air crew suits are good for 35,000 feet. Higher then 55,000 for more then 5 minutes, crew needs pressure suits, assuming a tight cockpit pressurised to 18,000.

In theory, you could probably hack an aircraft with crazy thrust like the Star Wars mod and see what happens under different conditions. From a practical standpoint, for altitude I expect it goes on ''forever'' like the maps do, although I'm suddenly curious... if you go high enough you see stars, I wonder if you go high enough how intense that effect becomes.

Wouldn't it be easier and faster (IF possible) to check it with F11 free camera? That one offers quite an impressive climbrate when mouse-scrolled to the max ;).

Could spawn a thread devoted to certain records for individual a/c types, time to certain altitude, maximum true air and calibrated airspeed, maximum sustained altitude and maximum zoom climb, all backed up by tracks and screenshots, with maybe a “Hall of Fame” section? Could be fun? :pilotfly:

About speed I've seen some videos from DCS bug when an aircraft was slingshot into space with some crazy speed - don't think there's limit to it.
