New Ka-50 cockpit looks whole lot better in VR then the old one, but one thing is missing : i've noticed there is no pilot in new Ka-50 cockpit. In old cockpit there were animated pilot.

 

I know the geometry of the cockpit have changed so you couldn't simply copy and paste old pilot.

 

Is virtual pilot planned for the new Ka-50 cockpit?

That´s a good question. I hope we will get back the pilot body. Is there a timeline?

It is almost a year. I feel cheated by ED. I would prefer to have old cockpit with pilot body.

The pilot body will be a critical component for BS3.

A chest/left shoulder mounted pistol, with a worn to metal stock would look good when you look down..... Hrrrrnnnn 🙂

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

Don't demand such a great deal of them - they have to stay focussed upon bug-fixing ... 😏

Is there any chance of the pilot returning to the cockpit? It's been so long since the introduction of the new helicopter model, and the cockpit is still empty.

There is also another thread about this topic but there is also no real reaction.
Ive asked there since beginning of 2024 and the pilot body is still not available.
I fly only in VR and KA50-III is one of my favourite helis.
Unfortunately its empty like you wrote already.
I mean... the pilot body itself is lets say the same like in other helis maybe with slight adjustmenty of hands.
Why not to copy/paste it from Hind?
I know that there are maybe other more important things in DCS but dont tell me you need more than 1 year to impolement "dumb" human body into a heli.....

I fly without pilot body in VR just because I find the body , in special the left arm in the way. And it’s weird it do not move away when my arm move. But that is me. But these kind of frustrations is the one bugs me most. Older modules do not get newest tech. I gladly recommend Huey and MI 8 

but they are becoming old and it shows.

It make no sense to fly another module coz this has no pilot body.
For me a pilot body implementation is definetly no a job which take over a year.
I have all necessary funtions on my both joystics (see signature) so i like to have the pilot body in the heli/jet.


Btw. in todays flight i noticed that somhow the apaches pilot is messed up.
