Strange, I think or ex-member did revenge, or page was so poor secured that even noob could hack it, or maybe something different.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

how do you know there was more than 1?

Its sad realy. Over the months several online squads have been attacked, this is such a small community I cant think of anyone getting a satisfaction of hitting it.

I sent an abuse report to GoDaddy to get their site closed. That's all that can be done for the time being.

504th webmaster has to replace the index page with a backup then.

kind regards,

We're with you on that guys, our site (and forums) suffer the same s**t from time to time. Looks like some mentaly disabled individuals do it only for the sport.

I know the feeling too! Our web site and forum was hacked several times. Yes there are senseless, misguided, lost souls out there.

Ok, I see your page is back again  But it looks like you've lost some data from the forums (or it's not recovered yet) because I don't see the posts I made.

Anyone knows if the hakcers are the same each time? I ask because we should try to understand if its some sort of intercommunity conflict or explicit acts of ramdom vandalism.

I mean hacking a flightsim community/squad/whatever is just like hacking a charity or some site on rare beer mugs, or something as nerdy as that. I mean come on, if you hack something, do it right, hack Greenpeace, WNF and all those money mongers, better yet, steal money from those charlatans. Or hack cnn.com, or hack some local newspaper or governmental site, but hacking a flightsim squad page is just pathetic. You can do better than that.

Boberro. 504th are friends of mine. I haven't met them eye-to-eye but don't believe that could be any of ex-members. If someone stops flying goes as retired but usually keeps friendly relationship with members. Goon! Would anyone feel for revenge on 504th? I rather doubt that. Sorry to hear about those incidents. Isn't there anyway to resist?

Not that i'm aware of.. And i'm suspecting that the hack wasn't directed at our squadron directly, but against the server that hosts the site, as other pages from that server were hacked aswell. But still, i'd absolutely love to meet the person behind the hacks in person.

A few months ago I remember reading posts on other forumns to the effect that many militant groups, including militant arab groups, register through godaddy.com and that requests to have them removed from their server go largely unanswered.

Don't ask me where I read it though because I really don't remember. Very sad people do this! I can see attacking conspiracy or government propaganda sites to some degree but why other sites? Does not make much sense.

Seems like cyber warfare is continously getting out of control and nothing is being done about it. Thats why people and sites should always back up everything important as well as using latest av definitions, firewall, anti-spyware, etc.

^^^^WTH?!

It just occurred me something: "This cow has been hacked" Doesnt seem to be a current english slane expression. The french speaking countries have the habit of calling cows to things. And this seems to be french slane literaly translated. I doubt its some arab propaganda crap at all. Just plain explicit vandalism.
