Predator-78 Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 Are you using reshade? Reshade? CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz - DDR4 64,0 GB - MSI RTX3080ti - Win 11 64bit
Photon Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Never mind, it's a 3rd party software. Just noticed when I tweaked some settings in it, that my exhaust also became a bit wonky. Disregard me then, I don't know what's happening :/
Arbil Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 I definitely don't have any 3rd party software, well srs, and I get this too.

Predator-78 Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 With the latest patch, the problem has not been resolved. How long will that take? CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz - DDR4 64,0 GB - MSI RTX3080ti - Win 11 64bit
Airhunter Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 With the latest patch, the problem has not been resolved. How long will that take? Another month it seems
LanceCriminal86 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I'm starting to suspect some things that were supposed to be in the patch did not actually get put in the patch. The NACA ducts were called out as being fixed in this one and yet they are still glowy and weird with messed up shading. Wondering if we're seeing *another* round where what a 3rd party submitted for the build did not get included or wrong branch, etc. Heatblur Rivet Counting Squad™ VF-11 and VF-31 1988 [WIP] VF-201 & VF-202 [WIP]

But, no , I know; "mah immerssion"....

Texac Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 Also, forget your priority thing when coding and textures/graphics are two different branches. Graphic designers work on getting the flight model right and the coders the textures, or how does it work? - My Skins/Liveries - Improved F-16C Texture Template • Texac on YouTube •

It is ED who ultimately compile the patches for release. Ergo, which fixes do you think they would prioritise? My argument still stands.

Ergo, which fixes do you think they would prioritise? My argument still stands. No, your argument doesn't. The issue here is it appears the 3rd party, Heatblur, had provided items to be included in the release branch. The NACA ducts are the easiest thing for me to see because I spend a lot of time in model viewer and game working on skins and screenshots. Priority has nothing to do with it. The question here is whether the updates HB submitted for the current build made it into the patch or not. Heatblur Rivet Counting Squad™ VF-11 and VF-31 1988 [WIP] VF-201 & VF-202 [WIP]
DD_Fenrir Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 The question here is actually why the hell you boys are getting your pretty little frillies in such elastic torturing knots over COSMETIC and SUPERFICIAL elements when there are far deeper issues with the very core of DCS that ED - are rightly - attempting to fix first. ED decide what makes it into any given patch - that's their right, not yours, as - funnily enough - they're in command of a far greater amount of information than you are. Christ you are an over entitled bunch of prima donnas! Get over yourselves.

Christ you are an over entitled bunch of prima donnas! Get over yourselves. You missed MY point. The issue with the NACA ducts was the canary in the mine. If THAT didn't make it into the patch for some reason, WHAT ELSE DIDN'T. Post patch the engine is still busted, more new Tomcat bugs, and there's now the question of if stuff Heatblur submitted didn't make it into the patch as we apparently get to wait another month for a patch now. RustBelt Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 We've had issues with ED Bungling Heatblur's patches multiple times this year alone. So it's not unreasonable to look at.
IronMike Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 We will take a look guys, thank you. No need to throw blame around, btw, both ED and us work hard to make things good, if things like this happen, it is unwillingly, or because we did not get to it yet, but never because of someone thinking "ah, not worth to push it". That never happens. A last minute update breaking a fix again can happen and is what happened previously this year. These things are sometimes both hard to predict or to avoid. Thank you for your kind patience.
