Oceandar Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 That is their only sensible thing they have said about that. But considering that people would like to see "Flanker 3.0", I doubt that it would sell badly, even if it would be a Su-27S and nothing newer. I agree with you on this. ED have so much doubt about the sales (they probably arguing among themself lol) even one of dev challenged that the demand is high to be proofed by thread like a poll that many of us really want any Sukhoi to be developed. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eeagle%2Eru%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D272136&share_tid=272136&share_fid=74365&share_type=t&link_source=app Mastering others is strength. Winning against Eagle C is one proof. How much Flanker can be worse in sales than legendary L-39 or Yak-52? How many more wish threads for modern redfor fighter has to be created for ED to believe? Baco Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 yeah the thing is that the L 39 and Yak 52 had the profit taken care off, by a private buyer, they allready HAD the planes in the sim, why not sell them also . Regarding, Modern Russian aircraft: Still, the risk is big, you can mount a subsidiary anywhere, one day Russian Gob. decides you are a threat to security and thats it, no more ED in Russia... It Does not matter who builds the module, ED is implementing it...

ebabil Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 All fc3 planes should be clickable. It is very hard to remember all keybindings. I am not saying all of them should be brought to full module leve. How many more wish threads for modern redfor fighter has to be created for ED to believe? Then again neither the L39 or Yak-52 took too much to develop on the systems level relatively speaking. So its a "profit" vs "cost" argument. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. Mars Exulte Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 All fc3 planes should be clickable. It is very hard to remember all keybindings. I am not saying all of them should be brought to full module leve. Just make clickable what its level of complexity provides There's approximately 40 main commands, as I recall from my own time in FC3, and teaching my dad on FC3, that are relatively important, related to basic flight, and basic weapon systems usage, all of which are grossly simplified abstractions, in most cases there is not an equivalent ''button'' to press, and many of the ones that do have equivalents are on the HOTAS and inaccessible to a mouse cursor. All of these commands are shared between all aircraft, for the most part, at least all A2G planes are the same, and all A2A planes are largely compatible. I copy paste from one to the other, and then tweak for any minor differences, which are few and far. We're not talking about an ungodly level of complexity here, but no, by no means is it ''hard to remember''. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
ebabil Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 I am not an FC3 expert since I barely touch them but from autopilot modes to bomb ripple settings or jettison weapons, hook deploy, lights controls etc there are buttons and switches that can be clicked on. It would increase the immersion as well. Qiou87 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 I am all for a clickable cockpit on FC3 planes. Simple reason: I play exclusively in VR. I cannot play FC3 planes right now, I cannot see my keyboard. All bindings must be on the HOTAS or clickable with the mouse. It is a shame since playing REDFOR usually means going with FC3, and it could be fun during an evening in MP to switch to the opposition and give my mates a human to shoot at. But without clickable FC3 cockpits, that's impossible to manage in VR. AMD R7 5800X3D | 64GB DDR4 3200MHz | RTX 4080S 16GB | Varjo Aero | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk3 + STECS + pedals

But without clickable FC3 cockpits, that's impossible to manage in VR. It's not impossible, you can set modifiers on your HOTAS to increase the available bindings, and you can place your keyboard in a way that you can easily find and feel your way around certain button groups (Inser-delete-home-end-pgup/dn and Numpad for example) to add more bindings there. And FC3 planes have such systems simplifcations it's not the same as for example trying to map every MFD button on a Hornet to your HOTAS. If all you want to do is a bit of MP you can skip a few things as well. Having said that, I would support a "partially clickable" FC3 upgrade. Not every switch for startup for example, but at least main panels like radar controls. VC =X51= Squadron is recruiting! Harlikwin Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 That must be extremely convenient I sense sarcasm, but it totally is, I use point control which is a mouse emulator, so its like using your hands in the real jet. Highly immersive, highly practical, basically in VR I'm there in the jet pushing the same buttons a real pilot would. I use the closest stick throttle combo out of the 6-7 I have to replicate the pilot plane interface. Obviously its not possible for everything, but I can get pretty close with most planes aside from FC3. I frankly hate FC3 cuz I can't do that. I have memorize a bunch of commands and map them in 3 layers onto my hotas many of which aren't even close to the actual stick function/layout.
