Noooo! Sci-fi, not comedy-horror :) Something like starship troopers. He was referred top as an officer (?) and he replied he's no officer - he works for a living.

Re necromancy:

It was calculated ;)

Only thing remotely Sci-Fi is 'The Sender' where he plays a Colonel Rosewater. He did however have a one-off role in a TV series, 'Space: Above and Beyond' where he played a Gunny - that what you are referring to maybe?

LOL, he's a really nice guy when you meet him. Always enjoy his colorful Drill Seargent sayings.

R_Lee_Ermey.jpg

Sgt. Hartman: How tall are you, private?

"Cowboy": Sir, five foot, nine, sir!

Sgt. Hartman: Five foot, nine, I didn't know they stacked sh** that high.

My dad was a Marine in Vietnam, he always told me that after 6 weeks of boot camp, the drill seargents literally had you believing that you could single handedly charge a machine gun nest and win the fight.

Hopefully they corrected that misconception in week 7. :P

I actually met him a LAX one day. My girlfriend was on a flight with him from New York to CA. They chatted for a bit and when they landed at LAX, I got to meet him. He is freaking TALL!!! lol. Great guy though. Very down to earth and friendly.

I know but it's just odd that I'd start a thread about an individual which is something I think I rarely ever do. Maybe I'm just paranoid because some years back a co-worker posted a thread here talking trash about Thai women using my account. Turned out I didn't log off after I left work.

Ah well, even if that were the case it's long dead issue (aside from Bucic's voodoo).

LOL, I just think it's funny we're continuing a thread from early 2008 posted possibly by one of Leafer's co workers because he forgot to log out one day at work... 4 years ago..... About R. Lee Ermey of all things.

And yes, he's still awsome.

The internet is crazy sometimes. :D

Not as crazy as an online conversation I witnessed, seeing a German gentleman help an Englishman convert Pounds to Euros, who was then to purchase some collectable from a Swiss gentleman who was getting help from an American on where to get the conversion prices for the Euros to convert to Swiss Francs currency that day. Gotta love this world economy. :)

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.
