SOI or not SOI?

After update DMS up doesn't make my left mfd SOI in terms of visuals but cursor moves with the sign of "not soi"

DMS down makes left MFD SOI in terms of visuals but cursor doesn't move.

 

Vice versa for right MFD.

 

Loadout is 2 mavs and tgp

Don't think the F16 has every been like that, you press DMS down and DMS down again to switch between the MFDs.

 

DMS up makes the HUD SOI.

You have the white box but can't slew?

DMS down selects the highest priority MFD format unless the highest priority format is already SOI in which case it selects the format on the other MFD. That's normal behavior and what I've seen.

 

Because different formats are different priority pressing DMS down from HUD SOI will go to whichever MFD has the priority format. It doesn't always go to left or right first. It depends which formats are on what MFD.

Because non-SOI sensors are slaved to SPI. You're slewing a different sensor which is moving SPI which is causing non-SOI sensor to follow. Try setting up EO PRE attack with HUD SOI, WPN on one MFD and TGP on another MFD. Move the HUD TD box and watch both other sensors follow. All three items will move together.

AFAIK you can't. You can only slew the SOI.

You likely had HUD soi and were slewing the SPI from the HUD.

DMS Up, make the HUD SOI.

To switch SOI between MFDs you need to press DMS down.

You can't. You have to make it SOI first to slew it.

 

DMS UP = HUD SOI

DMS DOWN = Left/Right MFD SOI

DMS DOWN again = Other MFD SOI

In case you have the asterix (*) on the left top corner of the HUD, your HUD is SOI.
