When F14, fully loaded is launched from dcs supercarrier I experince second or two blackout. I found about two years old topic in F18 section about this problem..
Is it still a DCS bug or something else...?

If the F14B, it's probably because you are launching in afterburner - which was prohibited in real-life, anyhow.  That's the only time I've seen a blackout on cat launches.

Yes indeed, it was that. Thank you. Well I didn't launch with full afteburner - with about 100% rpm.... Admin, please move from bugs section... 😄

@TOViper

It seems, that we had to much trust even with not full afterburner, mil power is about 90% rpm, or you can check it on thorttle, there is a mark when it is at mil power...

I get the same thing when taking off at mil power as well - it’s been around for awhile now. Not a deal breaker but it’s there.

Well, anyway: yesterday I tried to launch with almost fully loaded (about 95% max takeof weight), with throttle at 90% rpm and there was no blackout.
Carrier had speed 25kt and wind speed was 10 kt - upwind. Perhaps here is the catch: if indicated air speed of cairrer is to low, catapult has to give you to large acceleration...

It happens at times, but not always, so not sure why. I fly the A BTW, and generally similar loads, 2x3x2+2 or 4x2x2+2. Sometimes there is a short blackout sometimes there isn't. I wonder if it may be related to head position during launch? Oh yeah, my burner is generally in zone 3.

I had mine forward looking at the horizon ... but blokovhan's idea seems reasonable, but as Sandman says, ... not a deal breaker but it's there 🙂

It absolutely has to do with head position at launch, which is a really cool touch.

If so then another awesome feature!

I'm recommending a good conditioning program. You're weak and can't handle the forces involved in fighter aviation...😉

I suspect there is an issue with an induced G force as a consequence of aligning the F-14 to the flight deck as it starts its cat shot. Likely the 14 is being moved extremely rapidly a few inches up to align it to the deck, leading to the game thinking your pilot just experienced 20Gs or something.

I would bet that the sea state and the pitch/roll of the carrier plays a role as well as MP sync issues and/or client framerate/bandwidth. Personally I see this bug about once per week, but have never noticed any correlating variables due to how infrequent it is.
