Moving the kneeboard in VR

You can using Kneeboard Builder.

I made custom size Kneeboard to display in my VR Headset. Can position it wherever you want. Can also adjust size.

Can you resize it to make it smaller?  IT's huge in VR

Yes but makes it hard to read though.

I use mine as a learning tool - I separate Chuck's guides into segments and create custom kneeboards for each segment. I then just load up the segments that might be appropriate for the mission I am flying.

I then just toggle on and off as needed. This has really helped me in my learning process of the Hornet.

I have the app, but am finding it hard to figure out....have created a custom F18 kneeboard, bt cant see any way to alter sizes etc or indeed, see what I made.....

Have you had a read through the manual?

IIRC that is what I used to help me set up my custom kneeboard.

 

If you still don't understand let me know and I will try to help - it has been a while since I created mine but could probably help some.

You can also just export or resize and reposition kneeboard like DDI.  I haven’t done this recent but unless there was a major change is should still work.

 

TIPS 

Kneeboard export is in ViewportHandling.lua (scripts\aircrafts\_common\cockpit\), change this line below.

dedicated_viewport = {default_x,default_y,default_width,default_height} --input your desired numbers here.

I use the Kneeboard program and it works perfectly using the monitor but in VR the Kneeboard does not appear, all I get is a white dot, any ideas ?

Ummm, can't you just click and drag it via the border with the mouse?

There is no Kneeboard, when I hit the key to show it all I get is a white dot, when I turn it off the dot disappears ? When I use monitor only, I can drag and resize as required. I’m new to VR (G2) so not sure whether I need to do something different than before

I don't understand the issue here.  You can size, drag, move, pin pages etc. in DCS kneeboard without the app.

I have a G2 and have to manually resize and relocate each time I fly. Want to try the Viewport Handling option but is there somewhere to read what my resized settings are?

I'm getting this too (posted elsewhere). Did you ever find a solution to this white dot?

Same here ... kneeboard builder fails to resize/move kneeboards in VR... they just vanish

Got the same problem with this: as soon as I try to re-position the Kneeboard with Kneeboard-Builder it vanishes in VR - starting DCS in 2D it works as intended. Well, jast another annoying thing with the half-made VR attempts in DCS ...
