DCS: Black Shark in PC Pilot magazine..

I've been told that the issue of PC Pilot that I wrote a DCS: Black Shark preview for has hit the newsstands in Europe. Usually it takes a couple weeks for the magazine to make the transit over to the United States. It is issue #56 and features a 4 page spread with some information about Black Shark and some new screens. I've purposely compressed the scan to make it unreadable since PC Pilot is in the business to make money.. ;) Just wanted to give a heads up for those interested in picking it up. And I'd ask that nobody scan in full size (readable) images of the article - the copyright holders would not appreciate it (nor would I).

Yeah..looks that way. I submitted way more shots than appear in the article, along with the captions, and they choose the ones they see fit to publish. Since the shots appear relatively small in the magazine for the most part, I suppose they want general action shots since the finer details in the cockpit might not show up on a small thumbnail type image. That is speculation on my part though. I provided them close-ups of the ABRIS and other avionics, but they didn't use them. I think the format they settled on is fantastic though..and really shows a lot of the different facets of Black Shark (and really only skims the surface!!)..

If ED wants to contact PC Pilot to try to arrange that they could give it a shot. But again, I'd guess that PC Pilot would prefer you buy their magazine, or at least go to a bookstore and read it there so that you might be tempted to buy it for the other content within.

And it's a problem - I haven't seen this mag in Poland. To read it I should order it abroad. Cost will rise double or even triple (still not much). And then I come to this conclusion: what is posted there I don't know? 30$ for couple new screenies? Naaahh...

I just checked Chapters in Ottawa and it still has the old edition of PC Pilot.... keeping an eye out. :)
